He is unhinged for sure for the whole 'San Francisco' thing....he was terrifying for both Louis and most certainly Daniel. But it was foreshadowed in the show as well....when the art dealer saw the photo of Armand and said "there is something fragile about this man" Or something along those lines

"Oh the fascinating boy?..Is fine...He's just fine...Oh he's fine...You're fine...this is fine...We're all fine" while repeatedly slamming young Daniel onto the floor ....most certainly the finest moment showing Amanda's fragile mind/soul

THE Armand - epically tantalising, sensual and terrorising in one elegant body!!! It’s the always present implied restraint, that fluctuates in intensity, that leaves you on the edge of expecting an almighty volcanic eruption of terror. SO clever in the acting. #art.

@aequinoctium4 ай бұрын
thank you <3 how did Assad put it once? Armand is a person that has been broken and rebuilt and broken and rebuilt so many times by others, that he has lost his sense of self and only gains that from the attention and love he receives from others ... even if on his path to this love, this guidance, he has to destroy other things that are dear to him.

Hey, look at this, yet another Armand edit, who would have thought? Actually, I wouldn't, I didn't want to, really, but this little gremlin wouldn't let me go, so Lestat had to wait a little longer for now (even when he told me he doesn't take kindly to being avoided). For those of you who still remember my comment about having 'the perfect Armand song' saved for a future edit -- no, this was not what I meant. Doesn't mean it fits him any less. As always, likes, comments (and shares) greatly appreciated, to give Karl-Otto, our dear algorithm, an additional kick in the ass. He would have needed it for the last video, too. (btw if you haven't seen that one yet you better go and do that right now! It's FRIENDS and IWTV! The IWTV cast paired with the FRIENDS intro, really what more could you want??) ~ Equinox

Armand is just a FREAKY hot mess - calculating, disingenuous, smug, frightening, needy, lost, desperate, regal, impressive, sexy AF, and mesmerizing!!!. Imma def gonna have to go read the books to better understand this character. I can't believe how much I empathize with him. Must learn more! Since I haven't read the books yet my hat goes off to Assad Zaman for this intriguing portrayal... otherwise I probably wouldn't be so fascinated by Armand. Great edit!

This is such a good edit. Really well done! ❤I'm looking forward to more IWTV content once the series is released on Netflix this month! Armand has become one of my favourite characters on the show, partially because of the actor's performance in the role. There's something so small, tricky yet fluid-like with how he moves, behaves, and especially *looks* at each character. I see a bit of Hannibal (NBC), Michael Corleone (pt. II), and even a blend of Nagisa and Karma from Assassination Classroom in his act but not quite. He is serpentine yet too docile and imperceptible in maneuver to be snake-line. When a snake is near you almost always *feel* its danger moments before it *becomes* the danger. But with Armand even after deep explorations through long stares, you're still not quite sure what you're looking at. "A skilled predatory studying its soon-to-be kill, or a curious mind sizing up a potential equal? Or perhaps he sees me as both a prey and a potential? If so, how do I make myself stand with him when he is entirely liquescent?" It's quietly intense. He evokes you with fear, lust, comfort and even violence and you're just too unnerved to do anything about it. To make things worse, Armand has no visible markers of strength like with Lestat, e.i. noticeable muscles, overtly masculine jawline, broad shoulders, etc. All discernible conclusions point to a boy posing as a young man; entirely innocent with no reason for suspicion. This, once again, makes you question yourself and your hypervigilance. "Am I crazy? I must be, he's just a boy." Armand knows this and uses his chillingly composed and sensual curiosity to investigate and coerce you into submission despite his "innocent" appearance. By the time you realize something is off he has already drained you and all there's left to do is just wait it out. It's such a peculiar brand of psychological terror that you rarely see anywhere in fiction. But as someone who has received this form of psychological terror (minus the sultriness, think Tywin Lannister) from a very young age and later acquired the skill (including eroticism) in adolescence, I have to say, some sick part of me is really excited to see what Armand will do next. And because I've always felt an immense sense of fear, hatred and disgust whenever I accidentally flashed that exact look and was met with horror from my friends. So I kinda want to know if there's someone else that shares my feeling of self-hatred and repulsion for this very particular reason if nothing else. I dunno I haven't read the books. ... ... ... And since this comment is already too long and no one is reading....imma going on a semi-self-projection rant about Assad's acting....recently I've been thinking about how extraordinarily difficult it is to go from being intentionally "sexless" (as in lacking overt sex-appeal) to "extremely-erotic" in a matter of seconds without changing physically. Because as someone who's on the ace spec, sexual desire as a concept fascinates me but being on the receiving end of that desire disturbs me. I'm not saying I'm a catch and that everyone is *always* thinking about me, but I have been made aware that yes, some people do have those thoughts and yes, sometimes those thoughts have involved me whether I want to be involved or not. Some people find that flattering, personally, I don't, to each their own. And I know that there will always be someone out there thinking of me regardless of what I do, say, wear, or whatnot because I can't control what people think nor should I take it too personally. But, at the very least, I can have influence over *how* they see me and the *frequency* of those thoughts. And one way to have an influence on how others see you is by controlling what you show them and as important a role clothes play in this what is almost more important is one's *demeanour* and how one conducts themselves. To have such an effect on others you need complete control over yourself and all your mannerisms, first and foremost. You also need a clear unbiased view of how you look in actuality compared to how others see you. This is very hard for most people. It takes years to understand the mechanism of such interpersonal-intrapersonal and psychosexual behaviour. Even longer to perfect them into practice and in the meantime you risk putting yourself through an ego-death. While watching Armand I saw many of my own *natural* behaviours and mannerisms (I've spent yrs toning it the fuck down and unlearning what I know) in him. Especially the intense provocative stare he gives to Lestat and Louis at the beginning of their story. And one thing I noticed is that Assad has a mild ability to tap into a "sexless" state whether he is aware of this or not. And don't get me wrong, he's a very beautiful handsome man like all the other actors in the show. But I think, unlike Sam and Jacob, whose sex appeal is kinda always looming over them regardless of what they do in the scene or real life. Assad was able to tone it down a notch so during those intense moments where he effectively aroused your senses you felt more unsettled by it than you would have had he been extending his "vampire eroticism" unconditionally and without restraint. Again, this could be just me projecting myself onto the character and nothing else but on the off chance that this was a deliberate move on the part of the writers, directors, and Assad, I just gotta give 'em props. Truly a difficult skill to acquire, let alone maitre. Another side rant, as if stealing my "liquid-nitrogen-death" stare (that's what I call it) wasn't enough Armand that b!tch had to go and steal my drip too! 🤬 (except for the icky glasses, that look was truly wack.) Absolute clown! I will never forgive him for that!👿 (yes, i spent days writing this, i kept thinking better of it but then also kept adding more. I'm so sorry to anyone unfortunate soul who's read this far, i just had to get it out of my system. sorry.)

hey! i wanted to let you know that -- though of course no one should ever feel pressured to exposing their personal struggles so openly to the world -- i'd like to thank you for trusting this space here enough to share all your thoughts and feelings about the show and this character in particular! even though i personally cannot relate to armand's past and his experienced trauma (for me it's rather daniel that i can see a lot of myself in :D), it always moves me to hear of so many people feeling seen and represented by his story, his behaviour and also his dealing with his trauma. it's not pretty, it's not 'perfect', it's messy and true, and that aspect is so important to see portrayed in media. it's just beautiful to know that this piece of art (both the show and the books) has such an impact on so many people's lives and can even help them find comfort in it in a sort :) lots of love to you and again, thank you so much for that comment (and for the fucking DAYS it took you to write that all down, sending you a virtual consensual hug just for that alone)!

This edit is incredible, so sexy and a bit creepy. I love it! ❤ I`ve watched this about 100 times already! I think the ability to stop the time/people around you (like Armand can) is so cool! And also handy if you want to go to the bathroom in peace haha! 😂😂 I don't know if vampires even need to go to the bathroom, but in the series they drink wine etc and it has to come out somehow.. 😄 Wtf, why I even think about that?? Anyway, great video!

Ha, surprise! Guess you weren't expecting that ;D I have wanted to make a Friends edit for some show since forever now, but it never really felt right. In the case of IWTV however, it was pretty much inevitable. Had tons of fun working on this (seriously, I don't think I ever grinned so much while creating something), and I hope that the video also manages to put a smile on your face. I suppose that's what we all need and deserve after those last two episodes … On another note, thank you guys so much for all the latest love and support! There wasn't even enough time to reply to every comment under the Kill Kill video, but be assured that I read and appreciate them all. Also, the channel just recently hit 100 subscribers, and I'm so thankful for every single one of you! Thank you lots for being here and for making this journey through editing, fandoms, fun songs and intriguing characters with me <3 ~ Equinox
