We have 2 wait about 5 weeks from getting our high AFP results to being able to do our anatomy scan. They insisted on first redoing the blood test which only came out higher (first test at 15 weeks was 2.92, 2nd test at 17 weeks was 3.75). Then we could finally book our anatomy scan at a hospital, but they didn't have much aviability. We're having to wait so long and it's pure torture! Scan is a week from Thursday and we're both complete wrecks just waiting to hear anything. I hope they tell us the results of our scan that day, instead of waiting for results like I've heard some people mention. I cannot keep just waiting for answers...

I got the call today that I have high AFP levels as well. We are devastated. Will schedule Monday for anatomy scan with the specialist. Praying our baby is healthy. Thank you guys for sharing your experience.

So I’m 28 weeks and apparently at my last anatomy scan was at 20 weeks and when I had my following appointment after the scan my doctor told me they wanted to do another scan in 5 weeks and she told me “because they didn’t get a good view of the heart” and then yesterday I went and she told me that my afp was high and that’s why want me to have another scan like.. why didn’t she ever tell me!? I was crying so much but I think everything is fine I have to wait 2 weeks for the scan so this video kinda gave me a relief of stress for now!

Your video has put my mind a bit at ease. My husband and I got a positive result for our AFP which they informed me that spina bifida was tested negative ( again not telling us any levels?). Our ultrasounds & we also did a NIPT test was negative. I did an early 16wk anatomy scan which all showed normal range & we have another for our 20wk. They pointed us to a genetic counselor as well & they were suggesting I'm very low risk for down syndrome 1 in 160. They also said to have a clearer mind to do an amniocentesis so I'm just lost :( & feel broken because if everything has been fine why would they even mention an amniocentesis ! I see them out of network which they bill out insane amount of $$ so at this point its like is it about making more $$ of the testing or reassurance. So sorry for the long post I'm just so emotional & your video has helped. Praying everything is okay with my baby 🙏🙏

The baby is so cute and so good. He seems to like what you fed him You're an experienced mother. You feed your baby small teaspoons of solid foods sort of like introducing him to the sweet potatoes, to the apples as opposed to other you tubers who shove spoonfuls of baby cereal, spinach and peas down the baby's throat even when the baby hasn't even finished swallowing the food. If the baby pushes whatever you're feeding him with his tongue, he's not ready to eat solids only.
