You don't tile around a toilet. You lay the floor up to the flange and set the toilet on the new floor with the flange 1/4 inch above the new floor. So, if you or the next owner of the house wants to replace the toilet someday with a different model and different footprint, you don't have to do any flooring work. This video should be how to tile around a toilet flange. Only a house flipper would think this is a good idea. SMH.

Put it on the soil that drains well and you never need any gravels

This worked so well for me! If it's not an option to tile under the pedestal/toilet this is by far your best option. Highly recommend. Thank you so much!

He's done that wrong. So the way he's applied the adhesive you should never swirl it the troughs should be parallel and facing one direction, then when you apply the tile move it perpendicular to the groves in the adhesive, this squeezes all the stuff out of the trenches and gets a really good adhesive connection between the tile and the wall. If you swivel or move it any other way then you trap the air bubbles in the adhesive which makes it significantly more likely to detach from the wall, and or the tile to break or crack. Look at the US tiling standards, it's literally a standard over there.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJuwo2Wwlt5miNk In December 2023 we had 3 bathroom installed by Wickes, simply put they don't get the job done. Imagine how embarrassing when you have guests!!! After so many months, countless emails, phone calls and promises, we are still waiting for them to rectify the problem. This is the after sale customer care you can expect. You have been advised. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJuwo2Wwlt5miNk

How did he remove the grout from the existing tile? What safety equipment was he wearing? What tools did he use to chip out the tile from the centre? What was the scraper used for? Why was a brush used? Why did he recommend having some spare tiles? If the tile is sunk below, what does he recommend? When do you use the grout shaper? How did he buff the surface after it was dried? i need this answers.. this vedio is in my case study

No need to put water in the bathtub, just stand in it when applying the sealant.

It’s so that it sets when the bath is at its lowest (mimicking when someone is in the bath) - no good when when you stand out of the bath because it will just ping back up and stand too high - then it will stretch and tear when you fill it/bathe

No concrete? I want a 6x8 shed in the garden to escape the women in the house, surely the addition of concrete and some hardcore for drainage underneath will be better than just 4 pegs?

Looks a bit small to me. I’m not sure you could have a proper log fire in that constricted inner space. What is wrong with the English? Everything is a size or two too small. I even still see new houses with single garages that you can’t comfortably drive into and if you can you can’t get out.

I wouldn't tile around the toilet, if you need to replace it for whatever reason you'll never find a toilet with a matching footprint.

The author does like to from scratch, kzbin.infoUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.
