more miniature wood for minature fire in a miniature wood burner, all you need to do for that , instead of spending 10’s of thousands of$$$$$ on advanced equipment, just cut the logs to the miniature length & for price of an axe one can easily splitity’ the shorties up.. for individual useage, other wise sure hope you have a massive distribution customers to pay you the $15.00 per 5 sticks each to pay off the loan on that machine

Kiln dry is better if transporting any distance so not moving bugs and disease to new places. I wonder how many btu are spent drying the wood relative to btu in that batch once it is dry.

Great video. nice to get an inside look after driving past so many times. I do find it ironical that you kiln dry your wood.

You must be using Multitek processors. If I had to take a guess I would guess you’re using the model 2040. That’s what we use and we have 3 of them here at our family owned operation. Here in NW Montana. We do strictly wholesale and ship it over to Spokane and to the west coast of Oregon and Washington state by tractor trailer.

Thanks for putting this up. I'm looking at balancing stockpiling of logs, split wet wood and split dry wood here in BC. You've obviously evaluated seasoning in log form rather than after splitting--what are the benefits, and how long do you age your logs? (I suspect Vancouver and Christchurch have similar temps and rainfalls). Do you dry your kiln wood feed at all, or does it go in green/wet? You have enough woodwaste that you don't need to supplement with gas? Cheers.
