I never leave without my penny items!

At my store I found penny and they wouldn't sell them to me so they too them said I can't sell them because they are a penny so I said ok I didn't argue with them so I move on to another store

A lot of the time they hate penny shoppers because some people trash the store looking. I always tidy up any areas im in. I hate when you have a ton of items and they only scan 1 or 2. I dont want to walk out of a store with anything i did not pay for. DG has such a high turnover rate with staff so the rude ones probably wont be there long. There is a penny shopper that made besties with a couple of store managers. They literally put the stuff up for her. A little frustrating but I know for a fact she takes 95% of the stuff to our local homeless shelter. Ive given her stuff that i found too.

I've heard it's up to the employees or manager (if there's one on hand) if they want to sell them to you or not

I had one do that and run up where I was with my mom she started scanning pillows I just kept scanning she found 1 and so did I ,not going to intimate me lol

It's sad that there are some people, employees or not, that get negative toward penny shopping. Honestly, there are more kind people. At my DG, they know me and that I am looking for pennies. I always share. Most of the time they don't want anything but they are happy to sell to me.😉👍❤

Sadly many cashiers are rude ; I had a psycho say out loud that I found penny items . I told her yes I did why is it illegal or my fault they are here ? The manager told her to ring me up & I left . Too much drama so I I no longer penny shop

I don't put my self on digging on stupid items I stop shopping at GD don't need trash in my house. What a pity ...

So far never been denied pennies. Most of my stores know I'm penny shopping & wait to see what I find. I also share with employees, especially kids stuff. If I take my time to look & have a cart full of items I want or can donate, I will not leave without them...I'll show Policy to Mgr, not regular employees.

I had several items in my cart. The cashier asked if i needed help and i said no just looking. He continued to watch me. Then he and a mgr stopped me in an aisle ang mgr said what did u find. I said a few goodies. she told the employee to" scan everything to verify they are pennies cause they all steal"

This happened to me over 4 yellow dot wallets. They were buried under some t- shirts that were strewn all over . When I went to pay the cashier told me she didn't have to let me have them because she was getting ready to pull them. I told her that they were not even in the open and she wasn't even around that area. She said you can have 2 or none what will it be. I didn't argue with her, I paid for 2 and left. I have never been treated that rudely by a dg staff member before. I will not be going back to that particular store again.

I honestly don't understand what the problem is with us buying them. It's clearing out all the stuff for the workers,doing their job for them. Now I understand the idiots that choose to trash the place is frowned on and that's what gives us a bad name😢 Glad you have other stores you can go to and not have to deal with the drama😊

This happening world wide now. I definitely understand your fustration. I’m honestly just gonna penny shop at the stores where the stores don’t mind me shopping at. There are def millions of pennies out here. I literally am scoring every day.
