I think the internet has ruined us and made us more materialistic "You have the get modern geometry etc" we are saturated with advertisements and opinions. People have been riding bikes for hundreds of years at this point, I doubt an experienced biker riding a 20 year old bike that he or she has ridden for years would have any trouble keeping up with another experienced rider on a modern bike.

Randy did a good first run. I know this a budget biking channel. Believe me I can relate. I'm not sure his bike is the best for trail riding. V brakes and all. Overall you gotta give him credit.. The kid has heart.. Help him do a great budget build like you did with the hydro buddy.. He'll be killing it in no time.

@@AlexDelMTB nice that's right in there with all the expensive brands. Maybe it's not quite as strong but sure beats paying 2k or more for a full suspension bike. I wish mine was blue but it's grey. Checkout the new hyper sinister XJ 29 on walmart. 600 Canadian right now. Full shimano drivetrain seam hydraulic brakes and roxkshox recon. That's tough to beat. They even list the weight at 34lbs. Sure you can get into a brand name bike for that price but not with hydraulic brakes or a rockshox..... plus the hyper sinister has internal cable routing tubes and is dropper post ready.

In the Philippines, if you want to look flashy but don’t have much to spend, you get one of these. Not very reliable on trails, but at least your bike would look really cool being ridden exclusively on streets and gravel with a bolany 120mm 34 stantion fork.😂 (For the same money i would buy a sturdier Suntour)

@@AlexDelMTB I sent a message to Balony asking a couple of questions about the forks. They replied with a generic computer generated answer how I should rest asured because they provide a one year warranty and full customer support. I just wrote back that I would like to communicate with any person who is alive. No answer. So much about customer support. Did you have the same experience when your fork broke down half a year after buying?
@AlexDelMTB
@AlexDelMTB 4 ай бұрын
I had no idea about the warranty, dang! but I knew what I was getting into when buying a budget fork
@DeksZagreb
@DeksZagreb 4 ай бұрын
@@AlexDelMTB Well, I don't trust their warranty if a living person from Baloney can't reply to a buyer's question. If we'd have a problem with a Fox fork, the people at Fox would respond or try to help. At Baloney if you would ask for a replacement fork they would just send cmputer replies untill the buyer realizes there is no help or real contact. I sent questions to both their official site and the subseller, but I get generic computer replies, some nonsense. That's the way they work.
