Thanks for the lyrics to this beautiful song. Please note the name in the chorus is 'Gram' (short form of Ingram), not 'Graham'. It refers to Gram Parsons, the singer-songwriter, with whom Emmylou sang harmonies and duets in the eatly 1970s.

this song made me get in touch with beautiful emotions and feelings, listened to it happily and also at times of angst or while having depressive episodes, and i want to leave this comment here so i can come back a couple years later if i lived, and try to get nostalgic and reminisce times which I'll probably be praising for being better or happier, peaceful or simply simpler, and I'd like to remind myself that no, it's not that the old days were better or simpler or anything, our memories are just selective and we prettify the past and enshrine the prospect of a brighter future, and thats good, but focus on your present, because it is the future you were wishing for, and the best way to be generous is to give all your best in the present so it'll grow and you'll cultivate the goods in the future. Yeah that's enough bullshit its not like i don't have a notepad to go back to, now I'll go post this comment on other songs i love aswell.

Its good to leave notes on things in the pressent to look back on the feelings that you had in the future. Reflect and relive the good parts of your days. The world is big, but your mind is bigger, and joy is a big part of both. Hope all is well!

oh it's beautiful...it sort of remindes me of something in fractions rather than a full picture, if that makes sense...and I'm Jewish so at first I kinda freaked out because I thought she said: "I'll be your Jew." I laughed so hard when I realized it was "June." Thank you for sharing.
