Did you smoke cigarettes at the time of the recording?
@apryllumpkins4085 Жыл бұрын
This may have been helpful if you didn't sound like you had Covid the entire time. Coughing and clearing your throat during the recording was distracting

Thank you very much! I wish I can express my gratitude enough through this! Reading the culture language was so hard to follow through! And my family is from down south! You did a wonderful job!! My level of comprehension sky rocketed!

Thank you Ms. Jacobs. My class spent almost an entire class trudging through the first four pages, reading out loud while following the PDF. While that was a worthwhile experiment, finding your piece here provided a perfect antidote to the "Sweat" blues the next day! Your performance and the PDF form a lovely pas de deux!

Thank you so much for posting this! You did a fantastic job reading it! All of these people complaining about your coughing or clearing of your throat are obviously spoiled and need to read the story on their own.

thank you so much! this helped me actually understand the story rather get confused trying to read what the characters are saying lmao.

So you mean to tell me that these people clearly are very grammatically inarticulate, and yet he uses the word “asterperious” .... seems likely
@TheTreed094 жыл бұрын
oohKurdi Asterperious is an African American vernacular English slang word...so yes they would most definitely use that word in everyday speech.
@zirrkurd3 жыл бұрын
@Mahder Aklilu Calm yourself dude lol. I'm from Atlanta I know all about it. That's just a self-aggrandizing way of saying Ebonics. which is a stupid concept because it's just a way that overly proud black people try to argue that all forms of english are equal, which is clearly not true, i'm a lot less articulate than some people, alot less articulate than others. These characters are inarticulate because they were written on purpose to seem that way. I just pointed out the "asterperious" outlier to show how out of character that was.
@zirrkurd3 жыл бұрын
@Mahder Aklilu i didnt say anyone is beneath me, you assumed that, and that's why you're offended, or at least acting as though you are. lol
