My brother and I had a Dreamcast when we were really young. We never owned this game but we tried renting it from the local Blockbuster multiple times and each time we did it never worked. Eventually my brother's Dreamcast broke so we never got to play this game.... That is until a few days ago my boyfriend and I bought a Dreamcast along would this game. After seeing videos on it and hearing everyone talk so much crap about this game, I wasn't expecting much. I just wanted to experience it finally after 24 years. And boy do I not understand the hate for this game. My boyfriend and I ended up enjoying this game a lot (minus the cheating AI). The card system offers a lot more strategy than Mario party does. And since we only had one VMU, we could see everyone's cards on the screen during their respective turns (one main complaint i heard from this game was the CPUs knowing everyone's cards but not the human players). But if you pay attention each turn you can memorize what cards each player has and pay attention to the discard pile to see what cards are left. We had a lot of fun strategizing if we should steal from another player or move to a specific spot with our own cards, etc. We haven't tried the story mode yet, so maybe that's where everyone's issues come from? But as far as multiplayer goes, this game definitely seems to be over hated.

I vividly remember playing this game on the old demo disks, but forgot what the name of it was. I thought it was a fever dream for a while, because every-time I googled it, I couldn’t find it. Then on TikTok Live I saw some guy playing it, and was immediately smacked by a wave of nostalgia… I can’t describe how happy I am now that I found it.
