really love a lot of gripple products but this is such an inaccurate example. cordless bandsaw and a de burring attachment on the drill and you will have dozens of lengths cut within minutes that require no adjustment.

Thanks for the tutorial! I was wondering how to do this part of my Finishline horse fence. After watching countless videos of H-Brace fence supports, this is Easily the fastest and simplest H-Brace wire system I have seen. And the fact that it was designed to be used with the same tensioner as the Finishline XL fence makes life SO much easier...

The key works, but you have to insert it in it's hole, then push the gripple just a bit in the opposite direction you want it to go. It is a push, then pull type of movement that releases the moving part inside, and the gripple slides right off!.

Lmao, who are you fooling with the "traditional method". Yeah maybe 40 years ago. None of those tools used to put up hangers are still used. Porta band, and debur your rod with your channel locks (or a nut, or your portaband), then put up the hanger.

What would the boundary conditions look like on the pipe brackets, with the pipe on the other side of the bracket also being taken in consideraion for the deflection angle?

The Universal Bracket offered in the USA is shit because you can only attach pipe to one side. Also, Gripple documentation sucks; they have submittals with no model numbers, a no.1, 2, 3, & 4 versions on the same Submittal and give you no clue on the difference. This product is very frustrating to order with no decent guide on how to build model numbers for the product you want.

Expense is relative. It might cost more in materials to do it this way, but it's faster and more consistent than tying, and as a contractor the value of my time and effort saved exceeds the additional cost to the client.

Expense is relative. These are about $2 a piece so about $20 per end post for field fence (10 wire). If someone told me that's all it costs to avoid spending an hour and a half, per post, wrapping and knotting wire around itself so I can complete a fence in much less time and move on to other projects, I'd say that's a pretty reasonable expense. I just spent 2 days adding divider to my pasture. It was 4 end posts. I used gripple t-clips and each post took about 10 minutes. At my fastest, and usually first post bc my fingers aren't sore yet, I can wrap and knot field fence in about 45 mins to an hour. 45 mins x 4 posts is 3 hours. I got done at 7:30 pm the second day. That project would have stretched into 3 days without the t clips.

you could rename this ...how to release a gripple under load. so many people can't use the release key as they don't know to ease the tension with either the gripple tool or their strainers

This is interesting, as I am just about to grind off a load of gripples (hoping not to cut the wires). Been in for 5 years and are all oxidized up, as wire is the max diameter for the gripple hole. I will try this over next weekend. I will hang off not buying new ones. thanks

I have new ones that I have cut off of the fence and I cannot use the release tool and get them to come off of a 3" piece of wire. I think if the wire is the least bit scored ---- it wont come off !!

How very sad that this hospital was destroyed by a storm and then those trusted to care for patients cut through the live's of patients like a Category Five storm. Mercy Administrators are currently enjoying the perks of their positions while hiding abuses from the public. Too often the persecuted become the persecutors. Those persecuted by a storm survived to inflict abuse on patients. Like the Clergy Abuse Scandal, Catholic Healthcare abuses are being uncovered. Back-door deals and intimidation are the preferred method of any abusive body. The public has a right know of the legacy of abuse beginning well before the tornado and extending into Mercy Joplin patient care to this very day. Mercy Administration, I am calling upon you to do the right thing and let the public know of the abuse you allowed or enabled to take place. Stop the false hospital admissions, insurance fraud, legal detention as a form of intimidation, withholding medical records, putting members of Mercy on the Joplin Chamber of Commerce when they have knowingly violated HIPPA laws. Tell the truth and end the tornado.
