Great job, but I did not understand the pencil rule Could you rephrase it if you don’t have any problem with that
@augustogsan9 ай бұрын
Hello there, it is placing a pencil in your mouth (between your teeth) and practicing your speech. This will help to articulate the words better.

Thank you, Augusto, for sharing your experience and knowledge. I'm also going to take part in this year's competition. Your video helped me better understand how to approach writing an essay. Do you have any recommended books on legal writing?
@augustogsan2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Azizbek. I would recommend Making your Case by Antonin Scalia and Bryan Garner. It is also important to keep in mind and use IRAC (Issue, Rule, Application, Conclusion).

Thanks for the tips , but can you provide us any channel in KZbin or website that help in writing the memorial.
@augustogsan9 ай бұрын
I think the best would be to read the winning memorials of previous editions (if available). That would give you a good grasp of what the judges are looking for.

Do you have any advice when asking for clarification of the case? How to make sure you ask relevant questions that contribute to the solution of the case?
@augustogsan3 жыл бұрын
Try to ask questions that you consider relevant to the main issues of the case. Each argument should be a building block for your overall position.

Very helpful thank you so much! i wanted to ask you a question related to the vis moot, I’m a student who studies law in Arabic, and i really want to participate in the 29th vis moot, although my English skills are excellent, I’m a little hesitant about not being a student who studies law in English, do you think it’s possible to have a successful experience as a student who studies law in a language other than English?
@augustogsan3 жыл бұрын
Yes, go for it. The success already happens if you give your 100% and improve your abilities. The Vis Moot is an excellent experience
