If Admiral Morrow had heard that the families of the crew of the U.S.S. Grissom demanded to see him after they heard that the ship and everyone on board her got destroyed from behind by the Klingons above Genesis, would he answer them or stay from them and let them think that he's a coward to face them and that they could've been saved if he had granted Admiral Kirk's request to have the Enterprise back and save not only Spock, but also Saavik & his son, David, from getting captured and then one of them, David, from getting killed later on. If Morrow was asked if he's afraid that Kirk will become a bigger hero and that he would take his place as the Commander of Starfleet, would Morrow answer that or not?

Thankyou for this. Being a drummer I had to know who played the congas on this. Had no idea it was from a Hawaii 50 song. But it makes so much sense now. Very cool.

Kids today don't know... and BTW you had to be right on the money with the splicing block and razor blade... there was no "undo" lol - just deadlines to get stuff done. normally the animation would come first and then it's a timed thing were you need 7 secs of music or the like... crude timing back then as well... clunky, but we lived though it :-)

I wonder who will be singing at the 100th anniversary in 2026? I’m sure Jerry Seinfeld, Tina Fey, Jimmy Fallon and Jay Leno will be there. Bob Costas from NBC Sports. And Tom Brokaw and Lester Holt from NBC News.

I hope that the 100th anniversary tv tribute to NBC will be better than that damn Celebrity babble fest that was a part of their 75th anniversary.

Hi Rob, nice selection of severe weather, multimedia and history you've both produced and amassed here! I was unable to find a direct e-mail address, alas the message here. Are you in any way related to the late broadcast meteorologist, Tim Hedrick, formerly of WKRC-TV in Cincinnati?

What version Radar are they using? The old WSR-74 or the 88-D? By the way, the National Severe Storms Forecast Center in Kansas City, Missouri (The predecessor to the Storm Prediction Center in Norman), had a "High Risk" of severe weather that particular day. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Storm_Prediction_Center_high_risk_days#1990%E2%80%931999

1990. When did he move from KOCO to KFOR? Even back then, they were called watches and warnings. No such NWS alert as a "Severe Weather Advisory".
@erickchurch53903 ай бұрын
He went to KFOR in 93. The severe weather advisory slide was just an intro into the cut in, like when stations use “weather bulletin”

Nice to see this open again in 4K ever since the first time I've stumbled onto the original version of this! I'm kinda intrigued to figure out the year for when KOCO had stopped using Gari's "It's All Right Here" package, and I've mostly thought of sometime during mid to late 1994 was the cut off year before the "Primetime News" era came in based on what I'm seeing. At the same time, I'm also skeptical to figure if the timeframe years for when KOCO had used Gari's "The Heat" is accurately correct on the NMSA if the site thinks 1992 was the cut-off year for when KOCO stopped using Gari's "It's All Right Here". Speaking of Gari's "It's All Right Here" pack & also with "The Heat" pack too, I'm very intrigued to find and hear the rest of it at some point. Those two Gari packs have been something that I've been very intrigued in for a long time, and I feel it's really underrated seeing how much it hasn't really surfaced out widely into the wild enough.

I know the music was also used in 1994 when they had that weird-ass circle 5 logo (you can briefly see it on Jennifer Eve’s lapel) before they went to the current version in 1995.
