Hi @AliHassan-hs5zl! A formal proof of competence in English (IELTS, CPE or TOEFL) is not required. The program language is English throughout. Therefore proficiency in written and oral English is expected and essential.

Great lecture series. An eye opener on the alien species amongst us. Please I applied for the PHD program at ISTA and a reference link was not sent to him to be able to fill and submit the reference form. I even clicked on the reminder on the website and yet he didn't receive it. I have sent a request that the link should be sent again to his email but I'm yet to get a response. I also applied for the summer internship program and he received the reference link in his mail and acted on it. How do I go about this problem? Is there any way my request will be attended to?

In you report it is said that in 2021 ISTA got 2569 applications and 67 students got admitted. Is it that hard to get admission in ista?

Hi Shahid! We do not have a fixed GPA requirement for applicants. However, the GPA of successful candidates typically is in the top quartile of their field of study.

You just confirmed what was already long known ie gravitational waves. No fundamentally new idea presented with new testable predictions replacing and improving upon current theories. Also did not discuss the particles carrying away 3 solar worth of mass lost in the black hole merger. Was it the mythical graviton or gluons or dark matter? Was not photonic we are told. So what? Remember all energy is particle based and the energy carried away had 3 solar worth of mass!! You cannot make energy out of space and time alone. Acceleration yes but not energy and not even momentum (mv).
