What about capillary arterial combination? I have a patient, 4 year old girl, large red stain on one half of her chest, but it has palpable bruit and there is a lot of arterial flow on Doppler at few sites. Everything limited to subcutaneous fat. Is it Hyperthermic “capillary malformations” .. or capillary plus avm ? Should we go for an MRI ?

Entire CVM spectrum explained really well. Life saver for residents !

Yes. I would suggest MRI to assess for potential flow voids

Hi. Thanks for the kind comments. Lymphatic malformation can occasionally have fluid fluid levels. However, it’s not as common as I initially thought it was. These were typically tend to arise in the macrocyst variant. If there is hemorrhage, Sunfield, this is attributed to internal hemorrhage.

Yes. 100% agree. Majority do not have hemorrhage

Excellent presentation. Thank you. Do you think lymphatic malformations frequently show fluid fluid levels ?
