Hey Bo, Awesome video. Im currently building a 2.3 turbo for my 96 ford ranger. After looking up the Pimpx on stinger performance website it shows the pimpx is for 83-95 rangers. Would this still work on a 96 or would i have to find something else? Im completely lost when it comes to wiring.

Hello, it’s best to contact Shannon @ Stinger Performance and ask for his assistance as he is the guru. Good luck on your build, it will be a fun package.

@builtbybo223 ай бұрын
Not a lot of options for tuning bigger injectors in with ECU, Best option is to get the PIMPX ECU from Stinger Performance.

I find it easier to put short block in 1st, tidy up & route loose ends without head in the way on my XR4. Use a eng support bar when r&r t9 clutch as bell housing is fixed to t9 GBox and tunnel is tight without a lift. Put bat behind pas eat to escape turbo heat, would free LF bat space on stang 4 other coming uses, Meth tank, rad sprayer, transfer weight to rr👍

Can the pimp adj the IAC signal via computer graph/screen? Great overhead eng bay camera shots📽️
@builtbybo223 ай бұрын
Using Tuner Studio The Pimp has an "Autotune" procedure for cold/Hot starts that can affect tuning for the IAC, and as well you can also manipulate the IAC settings manually in Tuner studio if desired.
@robertbairt90944 ай бұрын
You have 1/4" to shove some turbo shield and stainless 8 by 12 self tap ss screws to protect fw & Pimp on other side pass footwell🔥 After sorting out misc wiring & plumbing, I would by Stinger 3" outlet elbo, have to send in your's! I hope to get a Pimp so as to fine tune injector off boost at idle, just got a wideband & Ex temp &FP trio to have a better look at F/A mix# as my NB is colors only lean to rich, back & forth light show🎉 Tells me where the TPS😅 👍

for the price of these things, they should be the ones installing the jumpers. jfc, for that much they should install the thing in your car themselves lmfao
@builtbybo224 ай бұрын
I agree they are pricey, But other stand alone setups are more money, and don't retain factory wiring. The jumpers are left up to the user to install so it can be setup in the specific way of the build. Although it may seem overwhelming at first, It does get easier with a little playing.

If you would like to know how we mod X-trails in Australia check out RuggedLife , he has lots of tips to mod and how to do it too as well as how to drive your T-30/31 off road. Also in Aust we would replace the springs with King or Old Man Emu springs that give 40mm lift and a extra 50kg (110lb) front 100kg (220lb) rear carrying capacity. Tyre size and type 215/65R 16 best all round tyre is Yokohama Geolandar A/T GO15 these work in the rain snow or mud and great off road. Hope that helps, cheers from down under.
