@@MSIOutdoors sorry, it is called ridgline
@KiwiBushcraftAndSurvivalАй бұрын
@@przemysawwnuk3286 Just looking at the hammock, you are sacrificing the extra hieght of the mosquito net. Instead of having a standard ridgeline. Although I am guessing you could just attach a ridgeline above the mosquito net. Atatching each end to the to the tree straps instead. Then adjust the measurements of the ridgeline based on that. My guess is if you are making an adjustable ridgeline, the concept should work the same.

Thanks for the video. I have the Kelly kettle base camp unit. I remember the time taking the kids out to a woodland, but the weather had been atrocious. There wasn't any dry fuel to be found. However, I always carry a Trangia burner with me as a backup. So on this occasion, I thought I might try it with the Kelly kettle. To my surprise, it worked a treat. It did sound like a jet engine, though, but I boiled the water and cooked for five of us. Since then, I've incorporated a Trangia burner as part of my Kelly kettle kit.

What’s your opinion of the sd bivy bag? Is it effective, spacious and waterproof?
@MSIOutdoors4 ай бұрын
Hi thanks for watching. I’ve only used it a handful of times, but so far so good. It’s got loads of room, and the head end can be lifted off your face via cord. The last 2 times I’ve used it with a liner and a 1 season sleeping bag as a quilt, one of the time it was 11° and the other was around 6° and both time very warm, (but I am warm blooded). I’ve only had the foot end in the rain and snow didn’t get in at all. Never had any condensation in it at all. Hope this helpful.

Just what I needed thanks. I’m somewhat on the large side and every bivvi I try seems a little too snug. This looks like a good option.
