Also for context obv this episode takes place before the internet was widely accessible or used, before smart phones and LTE were common. What this episode tackled was the idea of whether human consciousness was mutually exclusive to the human body, and the human experience. A very limited perspective of the universe, yet confident enough to assert facts about it. Humanity in the abstract is fragile and limited. That was the lesson here. The reason our lives are better is than to the materialization of our understanding of the universe. The issue we face is organization and structuring that.

Btw, the kid, Ed, the creator said is essentially nonbinary, or more specifically "transcends humanity" in their own words. But we can just refer to her as a girl since that seems to be what she prefers / fits her preference.

There is a nice series of post-credit scenes that you missed. The one I really like is Kiki noticing that a mother is walking with her very little girl dressed up like a witch carrying a broom like Kiki. Compare this to Kiki's earlier thoughts on how she didn't like how she is dressed in dark clothes. After Kiki's public rescue of Tombo, she is now a celebrity and little girls want to look like her. There are also scenes of Kiki continuing to make deliveries on her broom. But notice the broom. She is still using the street sweepers broom that she borrowed to save Tombo. The street sweeper probably insisted that she keep it so he could continue to brag about how "that's my broom she is using! That's my broom!" That way he can share in her celebrity. The post-credit scenes really finish up the story nicely.

The more money Palpatine gains the control of, the more funding he gains for the Death Star. The sooner it's completed, the sooner he can disband the Senate and hold the planets hostage.

Seeing everything Padmes does adds another sad layer. In the Episode III novels, Anakin's dreams included Padme replacing Palpatine as Chancellor and ending the war.

A law preventing the Republic Senators and Separatist Senators from talking... Hmm, I wonder who put that in place. Surely not someone who doesn't want the Senators negotiating peace... thus ending the war, and ending his evil plans.

Remember this is before "the way". Clone Wars and Rebels tells more of the story of Mandalore that will lead into the tv series you know. Yes, this is the first time the Darksabre was seen. Originally it was going to be a large vibro-blade, like what Mando has, but Lucas wanted something more, so the Darksabre was created for it, and the mythology of it begun here. Tut tut, cutting out the juicy bits. Anakin the fool as always, he didn't need to kill the saboteur, he merely could have grabbed the detonator using the force. However thats the path he's setting for himself already.

Always amazes me that one of Cut's kids in the Deserter episode, is voiced by the same person who does Ventress! Oh and Tera Sinube is a legend. Ahsoka learnt a lot from him here away from psycho boy. Obi-Wan may be my favourite, but it shows how much the Jedi have fallen here, when he attacks Grievous when his back is turned. Tut tut space Jesus!
