Sweet heart you need to study pre-christian pagan society a little closer. "WOKE" is a black american term that was hijacked used and twisted and in main stream now means the mind that pushes communism just like feminism has become after entering the 3rd wave. Please put you lived experience aside and take a more egalitarian look at the western world a little more closely and study the crime and dv statistics with out the feminism lens and weigh the toxicity balance there. Im sorry but your sociology and anthropology have many many bias in them. Most of your complaints and abrahamic based and the real enemy you should be pointing you finger at is the abrahamic religions. @One-Goth I see it for what it is, one of two popular movements. One is accelerationism, represented by many tech people, capitalists and some conservatives. Men have made women be responsible for using birth control. 5. Men want to take away women's reproductive rights. I say, give all men a vasectomy and there will be no need for terminations. 6. These are pretty hard stances you are taking with very little grey area. I wouldn't even consider most of this toxic masculinity. Its just a series of perceived grievances against men. I am a man and have several male friends who are married with kids. They are wonderful husbands and fathers who would literally give their life for their family. Men and women are different and enjoy different things and that is OK. Whenever I see these videos it is always arguing the point for women to be managers, executives and head of state. If you want true equality, why not argue for more female garbage collectors, pipe fitters, roughnecks, or power line workers? Men are viewed as things to be stowed away and brought out when needed. Saying men ruling the world and the world is shit so incredibly reductive. It is very unlikely women would have done better as evidence by the number of female heads of state. Men did build the modern world. I have witnessed it firsthand. I worked landscaping for 4 years with 5 men and 2 women. Who do you think was lifting the heaviest wheelbarrows and carrying large stacks of bricks? Hint: it wasn't the women. I would be more than happy to let women take over or do difficult jobs. Once they see how hard it really is, they'll want out.
@One-Goth4 күн бұрын
@@NainKaigo I don't have time to respond to all of this. 1. Equality does not mean lifting heavy things or women working in more male environments. 2. Women were only allowed to work in shops or as maids etc up until the 70's. Why? Men. 3. Men have shaped the world into an awful place - war, land grabbing, and exploitation if young girls and women (please think broader than the West, this includes all women around the world). 3. You friends who are married and happy, great. I was married and my ex beat me, tried to strangle and grape me. Women stay in abusive relationships for many reasons, and this is caused by a trauma bond. You don't know the insides of their marriage, only what they allow you to see. 4. Until me stop using misogynist tropes, we will not be equal. Even yourself, coming here and commenting, shows the denial you have around this. Again, women aren't in power, because men have been pushing women down for centuries. Women weren't allowed to go to university until the last century, because men are afraid of women being more intelligent than themselves. If you think it's perceived grievances, then, groping, flashing, cat calling etc is clearly minimised in your eyes. 1 in 3 women in the world, has experienced some form of SA or DV. And before you say men have more violence against them, yes, they do. And guess what, it's caused by.... Men. Ask women what they think.
@NainKaigo2 күн бұрын
@@One-Goth What does equality mean to you? You didn't propose any changes in this video. I am not denying women weren't allowed to do certain things 50 years ago. My point is, that is not the way things are now. Women are graduating college at a higher rate then men, are generally more successful in school, and are out earning men in positions where the work is equal. Women have all the opportunity in the world and instead complain it is still unfair. To even suggest that my friends marriages could be abusive is absolute insanity. You have even less ground to stand on than I do - you having never met them. I am truly sorry you have been abused and were hurt so badly. Videos like this come off as a scorned woman trying to paint all men with the same brush. Even though you disclose upfront you are not talking about all men, you use language that suggests otherwise. Rather than shouting into the void about how bad men are and how women have it so hard, maybe work on personal healing and dealing with the trauma from your past. Surround yourself with better people. In other comments you say, "My experience has been quite bad. Not just from my ex, but from many others". Seems you are just bad at picking men and you have an axe to grind.
@One-GothКүн бұрын
@NainKaigo and there we go. The misogyny in the last line "maybe I'm bad at picking men" MAYBE BE BETTER MEN. Equality to me, means being able to go out in the dark and not fear being graped or unalived by a man. Maybe you've lived a very sheltered life. Once men stop graping, groping, trafficking, FGM-ing, upskirting, cat calling flashing, and so much more, then we will be equal.

The problem most people have with 'woke' is the control aspect of it. Cancel culture, erosion of freedom of expression etc. And of course on the flip side, some just have a problem with woke because actually they are the ones who are controlling of others opinions. My issue with woke is just the cancel culture aspect, and people getting deplatformed or in the uk getting a visit by the plod for opinions.
@One-Goth7 күн бұрын
The way I look at woke is not one of cancel culture, but one of "waking up" to the truth and feelings of others. As you rightly say in your comments, I need to use some men rather than men. Certain things, we shouldn't say anymore. Racial slurs included. As for those inciting violence on line, I do think that needs to be tackled. I lived in South Africa for 24 years, both before and after apartheid. There is a word that would be used to call poc and it was awful. That usage gradually went away. So, when we look at shows like Love Thy Neighbour and Rising Damp, even comedians who used racial slurs in their acts, we know that those things are now unacceptable. I was in a conversation with a much older man and he told a joke about gay people and used a derogatory term. I think a lot of it is generational. But, there are still people where I live who use the "p" word for the corner shop for example. I don't think we as white people feel any sort of offence at being white. Because of white privilege. And I accept I have that. It was evident growing up. So, I guess the meaning of the term is something I understand. Though, some white people perhaps don't see it that way as they haven't experienced what I did. I understand what you mean and why people have fear around cancel culture. However, I see it as people becoming more understanding. The Internet definitely needs better policing as such. To avoid what happened at Southport. My mum and sister live there and I went to visit and lay flowers. It was very emotional. And, was the fault of certain individuals stirring things up on line. My sister is friends with the lady who's wall was broken down and we took a drive past the school and area. Loads of pink ribbons everywhere. Violence has no skin colour. It just is. I feel that until there is equality in the world, violence will errupt. The Colson statue, I think, was a positive move. And instead of us all visiting old houses and ooing and ah-ing, the true story of how those houses were built and where the money came from are important. So we don't let those things happen again. It's a very difficult subject. As an academic, I mustn't have a view in essays and so on. But, personally, I see the injustices in the world and old thinking patterns. Anyway, my morning ramble is over. Thank you for your advice.

Social engineering is not in itself a bad thing, it was used to stigmatise drink driving, it was used to reduce smoking, to stigmatise heroin use, it was used to raise awareness of Hiv and make protected s3x the norm, to make people more environmentally responsible etc etc ( UK ). What was a noble goal of equality of opportunity for women was also undertaken using social engineering. How else would you describe how feminism achieved so much ? It was social engineering. However, in the uk at least ( i can attest as its where i am from and grew up ) in the late 80's and 90's part of this drive went to far against men.

In schools it was more than just the ' sugar and spice and all things nice' nursrey rhymes we were taught. And the kids books that had these strong girls and idiot boys. It was also, especially in older classes a clear bias towards girl students by teachers. And a system of teaching that favoured girls. With an undertow of females being some persecuted minority. Persecuted by whom? Men of course. Not societal structure but men. So in school you were taught especially by openley feminist teachers, that men bad women good. Men oppressor, women oppressed. For a male kid do you think that is healthy?

In higher ed feminism is applauded and a legit study, but anything in opposition to these ideas not welcome or 'h8'. In society fathers came off very badly in divorses especially when it comes to custody or access to children. In media and fiction such as tv shows, men and maleness and masculinity openly mocked ( much in the way redneck aka working class country folk are mocked in the usa). Social engineering that negativley effected men and masculinity, New Man ( remember that ? ), Metrosexual, and ' you're just a single white male'. In the workplace and training, the uk equivilant of Dei negativley effected men. Women favoured for promotion, women getting a much easier ride in jobs, and managment terrified to sack unsuitable female employees because they have the power to claim oppression etc. ( i have seen this a lot ). Quotas. Domestic abuse against men entirely ignored, false accusations against men being assumed true. I could go on and on. The worst thing however is telling male kids men are bad, as if the 'patriarchy' means men are the oppressors. Which is not what that idea actually means.
