@@michaelelwert4184 So does that mean we can't intergrate it into our DAWs if we're using the Windows version? Im testing out the MG2 and it's not even recognizing MG2 as potential instrument to add to the list... and it's also not even recognizing the Melody Mode versions of so NI Instruments (Electic Mint, Electric Sunburst Deluxe & Picked Acoustic) smh

Reason is a bit of an outlier. For now the best way is to run the MG3 standalone app, and send MIDI to Reason by virtual midi, similar to as if you hooked up a keyboard to Reason. Load the MINI patch inside MG3. On Windows you need to install loopBe1 and select that MIDI device in both MG3 and Reason. On Mac it just works..

It works with any kind of guitar. Solid body electric guitars are generally best.

I'm assuming in the first technique if I hit record on audio One It will record a clean guitar DI And the midi on track 2 at the same time Uh this would be my use case scenario Uh some wanting to make sure that that's possible even though it seems blatantly obvious that it is that way

Yes, it will record your clean guitar to the AUDIO 1 channel, and you can of course use the recorded audo to record another MIDI/virtual instrument track later on as well. 👍

this is cool but ... even though I selected my vst2 and vst3 folders it does not show up in Ableton live 11 and did not create a desktop icon for stand alone use . I was able to find it to run as stand alone to test it lots of latency i5 processor and 32 gigs of ram so idk it is in cakewalk as a VST2 no 3 to be found anyway so I don't know and judging from the fact the most recent video here is 4 years old the developers must have given up on it so will not be purchasing to bad because seems like has lots of potential

Why are you not speaking? Those of us with ADHD causing problems for us to absorb written text instructions come here to follow along... If you provide written text, then how are we supposed to look down and follow along or get around the absorption issue? It's 2022... Please find a narrator to volunteer or hire.

I can't still find how to get the midi notes from the play. That is, midi guitar is on my guitar audio, and its now playing as piano (cool) but how do I get the midi notes from it?
