NB SC Pacer 2 has similar stats to the original Asics Metaspeed Sky except the midsole foam in the old Metaspeed Sky from 2021 might out perform it slightly and is higher and lighter too. Once NB and Brooks are able to either develop or get their hands on a high performing PEBA foam or new formulation foam then I feel they will genuinely be in the mix with the likes of very top super shoes out there. Until then ...? Thanks for the review.

@thecaptainchas2820Күн бұрын
@@justoutlaw6423 I haven’t run in the Endorphin Pro 4 yet, but I have tried it on in the store. I can say that the Speed 4 is *slightly* more stable than the Speed 3 because of the shape of the rear foot, and the same might be true of the Pro 4 and Pro 3, but that would only be conjecture. The Pro 3 is not the most stable shoe. It’s more stable than a Vaporfly, but it’s tough to have 39mm of bouncy PEBA foam in the heel and make it stable, even with a carbon fiber plate. The NB SC Elite v4 will be more stable, but like I said in the shoe talk, that’s not a shoe I’m interested in if I have the SC Pacer v2.

Not sure I’d want the Skyward X on my feet past about 6-7 miles personally. I’m still trying to decide if I need a Neo Vista. I love the SuperBlast for long runs and long workouts. Have also toyed with the idea a plated super trainer like the Magic Speed 4 when the marathon plan revs up and gets even spicier.
@thecaptainchas282021 күн бұрын
Yeah I think we’re of like mind. The Neo Vista might have some crossover between a comfy, creamy base run shoe and a super trainer that can handle some long runs and MP workouts. @thecaptainchas282023 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching. Clarification: I actually would prefer the Hoka Rocket X 2 for races longer than 15k, but I prefer the Deviate Nitro Elite 3 for 15k and under. However, the more I’ve been running in the Puma since this review, the more it has opened up. I might have to do a follow-up to see if I think it could handle some longer things. As far as vs the Adios Pro 3, I think there very little crossover in use case scenario. I would only reach for the adidas when racing a half marathon or marathon (or 50k, which I used it for in January). The Puma is a lot lighter and bouncier, and the adidas is more of a cruiser. As far as workouts, I’d use the Puma for shorter, faster reps and the adidas for long tempo runs or marathon pace runs, but I could use either for threshold workout.

Longer, yes. More roomy…not necessarily. They still have a taper to the forefoot which would make them pretty snug for a wide foot. I guess there’s more volume overall, but that’s mainly just some extra space in from for the first two toes. I would still go true to size.

That’s a good question. I think it encourages and rewards a higher cadence. However, there are runners with larger frames and longer legs who have enjoyed this shoe (Edd Bud comes to mind).
