Nope. Two things happen The points on the first part of the video are to do with starter disengagement as it reaches 900 rpm, the sparky ones seem to indicate a ground issue. It's all new to me. Come fix it. :)

So far I'm down to a chipmunk or two, two or three bunnies, and this old lady with seven chicks. Bluebirds successful and starting over I think. They were on vaca for a cupla weeks. Chipmunk 007 thinks the water bowl is a hot tub. One chickadee stopped by probably driven out of a fire area. Early for migration. The wood rat is doing well. Saw some baby digger squirrels but they disappeared along with adults. Not sure who/what is eating them. Haven't seen "my" cat for a couple months. Expecting him to swing by. Sprague Menagerie.
@johnarnettsways.87585 ай бұрын
Good eating if you have a good population of them for sustainable numbers. They are slowly coming back in the east. We took a lot of there habitat away and just now leaving the cover they need from predators.
@JDanielsOffGrid5 ай бұрын
The old hen is either using this for water or protection from the predators you mention. I vote for water. It's a bit dry.

They found the water bowl. Pretty dry in the desert. There was about 6 to 7 big chicks here yesterday. Only saw one chick today but I didn't want spook them.

@jdanielsoffgrid I’ve always been taught to file into or toward the blade and across using most of the file. Is there a difference? Or am i just doing it wrong? Great video
@JDanielsOffGrid5 ай бұрын
I trained a lot of newbies in 36 years of state service and we had to come up with a way to prevent injuries. If you are sharpening your own tool sharpening into the blade is your choice. This is the safest way.
@johndamore42975 ай бұрын
Also do you recommend one brand of file over another? Ive been looking at a small 6” bastard file that i can easily store in my pack. Trying to find USA made vs Chinese. The Grobet’s have good reviews. Nicholson’s do as well, but im reading they are made in brazil now and not as great of quality.
@JDanielsOffGrid5 ай бұрын
Grobets are good, Nicholson was good. For quantity 12 to 14 inch. For carrying 6 inch is good for touch-up. Round axe stone is good too. (if you can find them) I evaluate everything by "is it going to hurt me or the crew)" I never worked from a pack being an engine dude. :) Longest one that fits in a fire shelter pack???

Well done, I cringe everytime one comes in for an oil pump and hose replacement, the 034 and 036 are the the only ones that are such a nightmare, but the 034 is actually worse, but the number that comes in with soft hoses fitted and not oiling correctly is interesting which means many other shops take the easy road. Never could understand the need for the spring with such a stiff hose🤷♂️
