@@FERADiagnosticsandBiologicals Just had the ultrasounds done. We had an 83% success rate on heifers. We will be using FerAppease on our ranch, and the AI tech will be recommending it for all AI that he does. We've also used it on 200 weight purchased background calves. Calms the calf, no fence walking. Still bellow a bit, but they're eating and drinking the first day.

How do we need to manageme accumast when we get pure colonies in multiple sectiones on the plate? do we need to treat or no treat those cows?

Hi Mateo! For assistance identifying AccuMast results, you can text an image of your plate to 607-342-3082 or send an email to [email protected]. Depending on the bacteria, the cow should be either treated, not treated, or culled.

Hello! Neither a pre-slaughter withdrawal interval nor a milk discard time is required when FerAppease is used according to label directions. FerAppease is FDA GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe).

However, we have a plethora of customers who use FerAppease to make their cattle easier to handle and lower the risk of fight or flight responses. Absolutely! Several ranchers and seedstock producers have treated bulls at comingling and the unified feedback is “they don’t fight as munch!"

Every situation she described I can validate, I have paired bottle calves side by side and the ferappease calves eat better, I have weaned calves and split the group, the ferappease say nothing and stand at the bunk, when we comingle calves from the sales the settle in over night and start eating. We use it pre-sale so that cattle go through the sale ring calm and collected. Product works!

This is an area that we have not researched. The heifers will certainly be calmer and experience less stress, but the reproductive benefit still needs to be researched.
