I have bought CD's from day one and still buy them today, probably more so than ever. I also stream and download and own vinyl, but CD's are my favoured form of physical media. CD sales are now on the increase again thanks to the high price of vinyl. It's also good to see hi-fi manufacturers continuing to put out high quality players. Long live the CD.

I loved Polaroid! I had about a dozen cameras in my collection. From a B&W one my Grandfather had to the latest One Step I bought at Wal-Mart on their clearance table. Later on finding original Polaroid film was a problem before the Rebirth of the film company. I now use my phone to capture images. Nothing meant so much as deciding to use a Polaroid picture for an image. In the end, it cost about $1.25 per picture.

Has anyone seen disc breaks on airplane? I would think multiple disc breaks on truck and trailer would be better at stopping and heat resistant

When I was a kid in the 80s my dad used to take us out for a weekly walk and take instant photos with a Kodak camera and sometimes with a Polaroid camera, and when I looked at the photos I was amazed at how the picture appeared in just seconds. Now the video has come to show me how it was done. Thank you for making me remember those beautiful days and understand the secret of how the picture appears so quickly. Regards

Shaking a Polaroid picture is not only unnecessary but can be detrimental to the image by disturbing the chemistry within the layers, leading to artifacts or other marks on the final photo.

I've had a membership at moo moo car wash in Ohio for years now. It has help to keep my car I got 8 years ago still looking new today. It is definitely nice and necessary in the winter months to keep the salt from building up and rusting the body.

Vinyl has a softer, more relaxed sound, due to less dynamic range. Audiophile vinyl is only remastered. The digital CD audiophile has much to enjoy, as the recording technology improves. SACD, HDCD, XRCD, UHCD, K2, SHM are several examples of their evolving improvements in fidelity. For myself I buy Japanese Mini LP’s, which have excellent remastering done. The naysayers are paying more for surface noise🔊🙈.

Not all opal is as unstable as you state. Granted, all opal is soft, but Aussie opal is far more stable because it's sedimentary, rather than volcanic in origin. Opal from Coober Pedy or Lightning Ridge, can be left out indefinitely without fear of cracking.

peskovite multi layer thin films (TF) have achieved over 47% efficiency! Your less than 12% on TF efficiency is first gen. We're now 3rd gen. Heck 3rd gen monocrystalline (mSi) single layer is at 27%. Dual or triple layer (different wavelengths of light) go much further. TF is much cheaper by area than mSi.

I’m going to make a Mixtape 📼 of Christmas music 🎼 today. I have a blank Maxell 50 minute metal tape that I’m going to use. I’m going to take the vinyl tracks and put them onto the cassette. Making a mixtape 📼 was how I listened to music in my car back in the day. And even now. I have a really nice Sony Walkman that I use in my car connected to the AUX jack.

I have a Kenwood Dual Cassette deck that I bought fully refurbished and few years ago for $15.00 and I’m still using it as of today. I have so many cassettes I bought over the years that I still like to play. I’m still buying cassettes from current artists. They’ve made a comeback in a big way. Are they going to be as popular as Vinyl is today? Probably not. But, I still like to play them. Plus some of the mixtapes I made over the years still sound really good. Everything old is new again. 😊😊

I remember buying my very first CD back in 1987 as a young teenager in Bern Switzerland, it was "Legend" by Bob Marley, and it cost something around CHF 30.-- Lots of money for a youg teenie. And I remember the very last Album I bought new on CD, it was Stromae's "Racine Carrée" back in 2013 here at Walmart somewhere in the eastern townships QC Canada. 🙂 I still buy new music Albums, but Vinyl records. ;-)

Yes, your perspective on personalizing music is very true for me. I still have most of the cassettes i had made from back in the 70s and 80s, and my Fisher HX Pro, and my Pioneer clock face. I hardly had any problems with them. For most of my recordings i had used TDK CrO2 and for archiving i used metal tapes. Good quality tapes, properly recorded and used on a good player (Nakamichi, Sony, Fisher, Marantz and others) were excellent media for any type of audio.
