50 years ago Randy Matson threw 65 feet standing....I saw him do this in1966 at the Fresno Relays...Perry Obrien's eyes were as big as pie plates as he knew his time had ended.

Do you do any finger movement at the end? I sometimes feel like i add speed and spin to the disc but is like just spins softly in the air instead of going further

Her left arm needs a lot of work. Leave that bad boy out so your block can have some aggression to it. It should come around and out at the finish, not stay in all the way through.

Thork keeps his left shoulder up and blocks with his entire left side as a whole, is relaxed, more distance covered in cross overs, he leads with his hips, holds his right side back longer = farther throw. The two are not the same accept for you trying to mimic him. But you should know that there are a great many things that he doesn't do correct. He is not the best technical model to compare to.

great stuff, I have use this type of technique with the left leg thrust backwards with the same issue of it rising to high. I will use the bent leg to try and eliminate it.
@jryoz14 жыл бұрын
zelezny uses a rotational throwing technique that is too technical to emulate off of simply watching a video. Thork wraps the tale of his jav a little, but his delivery is still much more linear and "textbook" in nature
@PearlGroove14 жыл бұрын
Way to often coaches place way to much emphasis on the standing throw for spinners. Once he stand is mastered then it should only be used with heavy balls in August-December of the training year. After that, the importance should fall to the half-turn and stands should only be used to warm-up the arm. During the rotation u are always turning into a stand throw so whatever throwing you do it should always be with a turning motion. The glide is linear, the spin is rotational. Train accordingly!
