Could u compare the latency between the dry signal and the processed one? In ableton, when monitoring is off, there is zero latency.. when monitoring is on, buffer size latency applies

However, if the DAW is not running under Rosetta, Absynth will no longer work. The only workaround is then a plugin chainer that has a bitbridge and can therefore load also older intel plugins and even runs natively under Apple Silicon

Haha, thank you! The Frail is actually the first song I learned to play on the piano. It’s super simple, the bass line stays the same the entire time, and the harmony changes only slightly. Very easy beginner song!

Hey mate. Im trying to use that on my Mac book m1 but the software doesn't recognize the input for my interrace. It does recognize the interfaces (im using both the H4N pro recorder and and old maudio interface) and neither of them can recognise any imput. So I can't play with my guitar. Do you know this issue?
@SundayFunday

I’m not sure on this, but it’s possible it has something to do with order of powering up. I am taking the Pro Tools 101, and there is a “Pro Way” to power up the studio, which should go like this. 1. Start with everything powered off 2. Power up any devices that require external power, pre-amps, audio interfaces, keyboards, etc. 3. Power on your computer > wait for any USB powered devices that require power to fully power on 4. Launch Pro Tools 5. Turn on the monitor speakers
@SundayFunday
@SundayFunday 8 ай бұрын
The reverse order of that is best for powering off
@SundayFunday
@SundayFunday 8 ай бұрын
Not sure if it has anything to do with order of powering up the studio, my thoughts are it’s possible that Pro Tools wouldn’t recognize it unless it were fully powered up first. If it’s not that, you’ll need to consult the compatibility documentation from the device manufacturer.

Would it still work this well if you were recording say, a whole drum set with plugins on each track?
@SundayFunday
@SundayFunday 7 ай бұрын
It absolutely can, it will just depend on which plugins are used on each track. Some plugins will cause more latency than others. In Pro Tools, AAX plugins must report their latency, which works pretty well on most mixing plugins. This can be viewed by viewing Delay Compensation in the Mix window, or by Command+clicking (Mac) on the track volume in the Edit window (Ctrl+click on a Windows machine). This will report the Dly value in samples. Divide this delay value by the sample rate, this will give the total delay in seconds. e.g. 128 samples of delay / 96,000 sample rate per second = 0.00133 seconds of delay, which is well into the inaudible range.

@Sunday Funday Were you running Absynth like a plugin in the video or standalone?? Native Instruments said on their website that Absynth won't be compatible with Apple Silicon chips anymore. I for now have an Intel Mac and am thinking of getting a Apple Silicon one sometime. Did you run into any issues while using it as a plugin for production?

Hi, great video, thanks. I am using Kontakt with an Win 11 i5 13400 processor and 16gb of ram. When run a song in Studio one with like 20 midi tracks and 12 Kontakt instruments, the Track stutters. I am planing to upgrade to i7 13700 or a Macmini m2 regular (with Logic pro). What do you think will be the best? Thanks

Absynth standalone, no problem, Absynth in Cubase 12, no problem, Absynth in VE Pro 7 with MIR Pro 3D completely unusable (it's all via Rosetta 2). I had to instantiate it directly in Cubase and use the plugin MIR Pro, which is not giving me any problems.

How do I just record one of the grooves already in there into my DAW?
@chandeleerjet5637
@chandeleerjet5637 Жыл бұрын
You can just drag the midi from the top right area of the Abbey Rhodes gui. Drag it right onto the kontakt track in your daw. You can hit play in the plugin while arming the midi track. The drag and drop is way faster and more flexible

How did u get this deep sound on your kick ? Is it like Linn drum ? Drum sounds amazing !!!
@SundayFunday
@SundayFunday Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! I have found the majority of the battle is in the sound selection. I don’t go for kick drums that sound like beach balls, or wood taps. I go for kick drums that sound like kick drums, big, thick, deep, low, kick drums 🦵
@SundayFunday
@SundayFunday Жыл бұрын
These samples came from GGD, a one hit wonder kit.
@SundayFunday
@SundayFunday Жыл бұрын
The other part of the battle is the mixing, the kick drum is the loudest thing in the mix, there’s a sweet spot for everything else under that in level. If the kick drum is buried, it has no opportunity to sound the way it does.

Hello 👋 Thanks for watching! Noire and Cremona libraries should both work in Cubase as Kontakt 7 and Kontakt 7 player contain VST versions. Both KONTAKT 7 PLAYER and KONTAKT 7 can be used as a stand-alone instrument or as a plug-in (VST/AU/AAX) in your favorite host sequencer/DAW. KONTAKT 7 is available in the plug-in formats VST3, AU and AAX (64 bit). VST2 is not supported. The best solution is to make sure the system is aligned with the pro tools OS compatibility chart, as much as possible. Once that is done, if it’s still not working, and if you have an active subscription or perpetual license, I would get in touch with Avid support. I would simultaneously start searching for any pro tools issues with my device/ram/os configuration in your favorite search engine.
