Very well executed, a bit of trivia for you. All the guitar parts on the first studio album (Iron Maiden) were done by Dave Murray. That’s why they could never replicate it live because, Dennis, Adrian and Janick have distinctly different styles.

Iommi seemed to have a lot more freedom under RJD than Ozzy. Really let loose on all the H&H solos. 'Lonely is the Word' being my favourite.

Imo it had to do a lot with the arrival of Van Halen. Post '78 Tony certainly kicked it up a notch with his playing.

Hi Steph! You brought back my childhood again. Couple of days ago I saw a full band cover of this song, and now you play the solo. Do you know the very famous german heavy metal band Accept?
@StephLeGratteux2 күн бұрын
Hi, yes I know Accept (unfortunately 🤣)
@peternemes67702 күн бұрын
@@StephLeGratteux Of course I don't mean that piece of a shit what is called Accept now. I was reflected to the powerful, and very, very famous metal group of the 80's, and their fantastic song Neon Nights.
@StephLeGratteux2 күн бұрын
@@peternemes6770 sure, but I never liked Accept, now or then... I've never heard of their Neon Knights though, so I'll give a try
@peternemes67702 күн бұрын
@@StephLeGratteux You won't even now my friend. Their very famous song is actually Neon Nights. Not Knights. And the band Accept was much succesful by us at their peak point (1985, Metal Heart) as my other fav Heavy metal band Black Sabbath ever. It is maybe sad, but true. And their album Restless and Wild, or Balls to the Wall are wonderful, exiting. Full if energy, end full of very good guitar riffs and solos. Certainly as a german rooted (schwaebisch) guy I am at home in all of the teutonic (german) metal/rock genres. But I can Accept if you don't like them, and you'll keep Helloween and the Scorpions for yourself. I love them too. 🤘🤗✌️👍
@StephLeGratteuxКүн бұрын
@@peternemes6770 hahaha you're right, it was Nights and not Knights 😁. The song is not bad at all BUT... Udo's voice sounds so terrible to my ears that I just can't listen more...

Why would you want to play this song at a slower speed. It’s meant to be a fast paced song.❤Thats what gives it such power and brilliance. It’s the lightning fast speed of the guitar.😊

Ace was inspired by the Blue Magoos single 'we ain't got nothing yet.' I believe the riff also inspired Deep Purple to write Black Night. I read the Blue Magoos guitarist taught Ace the lick. Here's the song. It starts at 0:45 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJuxiYWoZ8Z8hNk
