Is it ok to use the magic ring method when first casting for this?

I use worsted weight yarn for amigurumi. It's actually what I started with before the plush craze. For me, it sells just as good as the plush items. Sometimes even better depending on the items. It's good to have a large stockpile of items. I know it can get overwhelming storing it but you never know when you will have an awesome event and sell more than expected. Then you're scrambling to get ready for the next event. It also allows extra time to do that project that might require more time to make but you're dying to try out. I've knocked out several skeins over the last two weeks. Everytime I finish one, I wonder how you're doing with your challenge. Lol Your discipline is encouraging.

I've been working on larger items this week. Even though they use up a lot of yarn, sometimes it doesn't feel like a lot of progress. Lol At least until you start setting up for an event. Then you're like, Omg there's so much stuff. Keep up the good work. So awesome that you can tell that you've made a dent in your yarn!

Way to go! You're really cranking out the stuff. I did finish off a couple of skeins this week. I think some of those skeins are never ending though. They sure don't disappear as fast as I feel I'm making stuff. Haha Keep up the good job!

Hang in there. You got this. You can always go shopping in your yarn stash. Most of mine is in totes so its a little easier to do for me cause I forget what's in them or I forget what colors. I don’t have an Instagram account and Im really on the fence about getting one. I hope you do well at your event!

I like my safety eyes organized as well! I do have extras in the bags but I have a tray I like to keep stocked up.

I donated 2 trash bags of material to someone in a quilt guild that makes blankets to donate and teaches others how to sew. Then I started going through some yarn and asking, "will I actually use this?" If not, I put it in a box to list for sale. Filled a medium size box. I've also been making small stuff for craft events. Rabbits, peeps, aliens, birds. Basically working my way through patterns that I have but haven't made yet. Good job on being able to buy stuffing and not anything else!

Not gonna lie, I bought yarn for specific patterns. I have also used up some I had. I like a little leftover just to have as a cushion. I'm definitely going to need to buy stuffing but I don't think that should count against us cause that's the one item you have to have to keep destashing. Good luck with your show!
