Make the water level on your semi hydro below your roots. It will encourage your roots to grow downward in search of water. Good luck

I liked moss poles well enough but got hard to keep up with keeping them moist. I still have them in a few plants bit I have started using bamboo steaks in most of my climbing plants. Good luck and happy to see you working with your plants on KZbin today. Happy Thanksgiving

Ferns are a pain. I tried. They crisp. I failed. Colocasia. I love them. They hate me. I grow alocasia really well but colocasia is a different beast.

I can not grow ivy indoors either. I will never buy any String of... again. I think that the Pilea Peperomioides is ugly, so that a no starter for me. I totally agree with you about the Raphidophora decursive. I had one once and it was a nightmare plant! Ended up in the trash. I was never interested in owning an Umbrella tree. I love a lot of the succulents and cacti, but then they grow well for me. I have only one Begonia in my collection, because they don't like me and/or the conditions in my home. One kind of plant that I will never bring into my house is the Definbachia. I don't have any Anthuriums, because they get too big for my apartment. I love ferns and have several in my 120 plant collection. But the heart fern, I cannot grow. And I have finally given up trying to grow Maidenhair fern, sigh. I love that fern so much that I have been trying to grow it for decades. Great video, thank you

Make sure you rinse all the leca and let soak for 24 hours and make sure roots are really clean

Best of luck. I tried simihydro with Leca when I started using it. I had decent results however I have had better results with Pon. Sometimes I mix my pon with my Leca works well. 🪴

Great picks! Congrats on the SOP - they are tricky devils! Do you have it straight in the terra cotta or in a nursery pot/cache pot situation? After several attempts over a couple of years, I finally have one that's doing well, too. It's in plastic, and I desperately want to put her in terra cotta - simply for aesthetic purposes 😮🙃... Is the Apple cactus the same plant as the cacti that are marketed as "Cuddly cactus"? I moved my Cuddly cactus out to the patio and it is growing so fast! It has grown 6" in the last month! It's getting what looks like a topknot that is elongating more each day. I have never seen such fast growth in a cactus.
