I kept waiting for a Highland Park Green Mustang, and a black Charger, to come barreling through that scene.

Her 'elegant' car is a Chevy? Lol! 🤣🤣🤣 I've been a Chevy fan all my life, but that's hilarious! Lol! They trying to make it sound like a Rolls, or a Bentley...Lol! But what's even more hilarious is that pink tow sack they dressed her in before she used it to polish the hood of that car...Lol!

This 68 coupe is very elegant. Add the hideaway headlights and it is just tops. A personal vehicle as large as a bus. Must be the 1960s.

That Caprice is such a beautiful comfortable car. Had a '69 Caprice (Kingswood Estate ) wagon with the 396. Learned to drive in it. That car was an absolute cream puff! As an added bonus, that car MOVED! Don't tell my folks tho lol! Thanks for sharing this video!

Anyone know the name of the female model in this commercial? GORGEOUS And who is the voice over?
@dextervandemark7082 Жыл бұрын
A single girl that's a model would not be driving a Caprice she'd be in a Firebird Trans Am Camaro Z28 or souped up Mustang not a Caprice a Caprice is an elegant car for people in there 30s or 40s. But the car is still lovely lol!
@msquaretheoriginal Жыл бұрын
No, she'd be in a well-equipped Camaro or Firebird convertible with a nice 350. Not as raw-edged as a Z28 but no slug either.

I'm a Pontiac nut and even I enjoyed this classy commercial. If you took away the Vietnam War, 1968 would probably be the most perfect year ever.

As much as a ad for the car as it is for the city. Note the black California manufacturer's license plates.

How did we move away from building cars like this? And notice she’s not wearing sweat pants that say pink across her ass. People cared about their appearance.
@ericg404211 ай бұрын
The hippies didn't care about appearances. We moved away from cars that dumped tons of pollution into the environment.

I believe Astro Air Ventilation™ was designed for the low humidity Western Hemisphere. Back East, it was never fun morning, noon or night, having that hot, humid Summer air circulating in the car. Better off opening windows. Yuck! Back in 1968, most cars did not have A/C, only high end cars like Lincolns, Cadillacs, Thunderbirds, etc. On other models A/C was ungodly expensive as a $700 option then.
@msquaretheoriginal Жыл бұрын
Maybe not quite $700 but easily 10 percent or more of the price of the car.
