A belt tensioner could work. Something similar to what Ford used in the 80's and 90's had strong springs in them.

Thanks for the idea.
@SiteUnscene2 ай бұрын
Why reinvent the chain tensioner? The bike came with them originally.
@outrageousatvbuilds2 ай бұрын
I could be wrong but I don't think a chain tensioner needs to be over tensioned.. maybe we need a way to measure the tension.

digging the Tire machine man, I gotta pos harbor freight ( the old red one LOl) out the other day , I picked up from a guy a while back and just now bolted to the slab outback. it works but i am already starting a scarp metal pile to fix everything I bend up. It was only 40 bucks with everything car motorcycle and balancer. all new in the boxes. so not too bad of a deal. I dont have an inside place to work yet. I collected too much treasures LOL well, Crap is what my wife calls it all but still. Bajaja.

wicked seat MFG! WOW! I am working on a 1999 GL1500A seat right now, it;s a nightmare. cost too much for a new one for this poor boy. i have been collecting on some old school thumpers for a while now also. most are fairly not so rare, i scored a 1975 MX400 B a while back though \. and a 81 elsinore 250 and a couple of xt . I silenced it down so much that folks could not hear it until I was right up on them. works great, it;s on a medium frame Mini type , Like a baja actually. still need to work on that a bit, has zero shocks ( the fatty tire and front fork springs are the only suspension. Idk why people don't use the motorcycle transmissions for predator engines .. besides the cost factor....those engines can easily give new life to them ... Just chain drive the engine to the transmission.. and they're pretty good to go

@outrageousatvbuilds3 ай бұрын
Great video thank you. I must say it's a little different than my idea but I can use some of his ideas for mine . I was thinking about mounting the predator engine on top of the old engine case because I always have more room vertical rather than horizontal with a motorcycle frame. I also think a small case would be good to use. Anyway thanks again and send me more ideas when you can.

Make a predator 670 chopper with this broken engine as a gearbox .. since nobody in entire KZbin has done a predator 670 with a motorcycle transmission it'll be awesome and the first over the youtube sir ..i think the predator engine needs a 6 speed..that bike will easily cruse with some power
