I have owned 2, 71 & a 72 . Both had 350 engines. The 71 had bucket seats with a 4 speed. The 72 had buckets seats with console and auto like this one.

As soon as I saw the disk brake conversion that it's for me. You've distorted the car's originality. Exhaust is also too loud.

@@1940limited this is a friends estate sale. In my opinion anything relating to safety eg> brakes, seatbelts, radials, lights I can accept if the car is to be driven in modern traffic and not a trailer queen or museum piece.

I love the '58 Impala, and can really see how it paved the way for the '59 (from the back end and sides), drastically different as that model was from the '58. In some ways the '60 was actually more in keeping with the '58. If Chevy had continued the inner part of the '60 fins down and around at the bottom, it would have been close to a clever combination of the '58 and '59 in the one car.

This 1958 Impala looks to have a paint break above the front tire, which makes me think that this might have been a two-tone vehicle at some point in its life. It’s very interesting to think about the history of this car, and what kind of restoration it’s been through over the years. Its auto transmission from the shift quadrant indicates a turbo-glide transmission
