Turns out, it WAS a bad decision. The writing became so trash, the opposite of what happened in Breaking Bad, BB ended it perfectly while rewarding all the character's arcs. Here, they decided to poop on almost every single character in the end. Sad.

My sister and I noticed such a dip in quality from the beginning of season 5. The story and the script were laughable Edit: There were some good moments and episodes here and there (BOTB was awesome) but overall it was so disappointing

My biggest complaint with the last few seasons (season 5 and beyond), was the dialogue being atrocious. Varys the "Master of whispers" couldn't string words together to show his wit that the previous seasons had showcased. It was watered down when they had no source material to work off of.

I remember seeing this interview when it was released and it was the first big red flag for me. That they were willing to mock their own cast member like that for caring too much about the show told me something was off about those two.

I am telling you......The Actors who step into these characters BODIES AND SOULS know when the writing is going to sh*t - and thats also why in another series The Witcher Henry Cavill quit. And i TOTALLY agree with Seth Rogan when he was attending a questionaire the SAME DAY to answer questions for his show as Game of Thrones was, he was like " Dave and Dan from Game of Thrones didnt show up here today, " (because there was so much backlash for season 8 being written VERY poorly and very rushed, and Game of Thrones was supposed to answer questions for GOT before Seth Rogan but were f*cking cowards) Seth Rogan continued to say "at least stand by your show and stand by what you wrote dude." I loved that he called them out at this event in front of everybody.

Those dudes shouldnt get to work in the industry anymore, they literally screwed over the whole show because they thought they were going on to bigger and better things

Have read all the books and could not agree more with what these actors stated, who in my opinion were all very good and made GOT what it came to be. What I don't understand is the herculean, incredibly readable (rarely do books hold my interest), skilful, novel and character changing story lines, i.e. Arya which G.R.R Martin achieved in his books which for me is hard to say as I am such a fan of Tolkien is much better! That he so easily allowed Dumb and Dumber to obliterate his work, especially at the end, because you would have thought putting such skill, time and effort he would have wanted far more controlled or did he just sell out and not care. Either way, in all ways the books especially at the FAR FAR FAR better than series 7 and 8, which were an insult to all the fans that made those two idiots so famous and so much money.
