First thing I noticed @8:07 that I thought was wrong was when the server brought the salt and pepper, and you're not supposed to be touching the top with your hand when served. Can you tell I was a server long time ago?? That looked like a fun dinner. Depending on the subject I like listening to the speakers. Thanks for sharing!

Interesting vlog! It is the ship and trip I am thinking about. What time of day did you disembark from the ship, and when did you arrive at the airport?

Leaving on Feb 28th for 12 days with a partial thru the Panama Canal on the Emerald. Just did a 7 day on the Sun, and although it's a magnificent ship, I probably won't do another cruise on one of those giant ships again. It took over an hour of standing in line to just get on board. Now that was at Port Everglades. Just too many people as far as I'm concerned.I thought the crew was nice but not as friendly or as cordial as those on some of the other Princess ships. I think because they're much smaller the crew has the opportunity to gt to know you a little better and be3come a little friendlier. With 4000 passengers on board I think you are just another customer and I don't find that on the smaller ships. I also did the Beyond ( Celebrity ) and felt the same way when the cruise was over. For really R & R , cruise is the best way to achieve. I loved cruises but some my travel friends exhibited dizziness. Now a days we stayed in one placed and do island hopping, like when we’re in Spain . Funny thing is this people commenting which I bet they have to scrape out to be able to afford vacay 4-6 times a year….. who pays the vacay? So… they don’t have the right to say this or that… some of the influencer is just for SHOW OFF but in reality they could barely afford for anything… one influencer still had a tag on her clothes… meaning she still have to return that clothes…. Hello,,,, Just have fun and take a good photos for memories.

Nail clippers I carry it in my bag, I placed it together with my emergency meds . It’s the nail clippers who help me cut out my luggage lock that I accidentally locked without setting the combinations yet and we were in Peru, the receptionist said they don’t have anyone to bring a cutter until the next morning. Nail clipper and nail piles is in my daily purses.

Loved your video, definitely you guys for real and just having fun. Last time we cruise, if we like to dress up, we go to chic restaurant and of course we go buffet later. You guys are funny as well.

I was a little worried about that given it's age. Can I recommend that you guys invest in some wireless mics. The audio quality of this video is really distracting. Im about to go on my first cruise in March. I think we should splurge for a room with a balcony. My husband thinks i won't need it. But im claustrophobic, and have major anxiety. I think if i couldn't see the water, i would imagine i was under it and that would cause a panic. 😅 This looks similar to a hotel. I think we will try for that, if i could figure out how to book a cruise. It's confusing!

Laurie, pardon my lack of proper social reserve. Some would say I lack a filter, but have you lost weight? You look like you have. I’ve never investigated a suite on any cruise line, much less Royal Caribbean, but I’d be interested if accommodation for a third-person bed were available. The room looks big enough to bring in a rolling, fold-up bed, especially if the couch was removed prior to. Much like a cabin can be made up with either two twins or one queen/king. The usual third bed option on cruise ships is a bunk bed style, and not only is it uncomfortable, but it is difficult for older persons who may be physically challenged to get into and out of. My mom is 93 years old, and if she had her own cabin, she would be charged for the single supplement, which can be pricey. Having the option to bring in an additional bed for a third person reduces the cost, and it allows a caregiver (that’s me) to monitor her safety, which would be more difficult if she were in a separate cabin. The bath and a half provides a bit more privacy, as the “reading room” is separate from the washroom. Thus, the cabin occupants can multitask and more efficiently conduct their morning “ablutions,” as the Brits say. While not a true suite, the junior suite does seem better suited for a third person than a standard cabin. Larry from Texas

RCCL does a great job with the size of their Mini's compared to NCL for sure. Princess's Mini's are very nice like RCCL's with a more elongated plan vs. square plan. However this ship of RCCL's has a far better bath config. with a 1/2 bath across from the bathing bath per se. Lots of closet and drawer space too. The veranda furniture is much nicer too with RCCL's mini. All in all, I am impressed with your parents mini and GLAD FOR THEM !!! cheers, M.

Holland America doesn't have self serve laundry. However, their laundry service is excellent and it's SOOOO nice not having to do your own laundry while on a trip. You can pay by the item, by the bag, or get unlimited laundry service for the length of the cruise (about $120 for a 2 week cruise). I always go with the unlimited service and send a bag out each day with whatever I have in the laundry pile. I usually have my neatly folded laundry back in the early evening on the same day or in the morning of the next day. Thanks for the reminder on bringing nail clippers - I always forget to pack them and almost always have that "moment" part way through the cruise where I wish I had them with me :). Running off to put my extra nail clippers into my DOPP kit...

All of the ports look nice, but the one that really has my heart is St John. Have you two done a New England cruise whereby you hit Newport RI, Bar Harbor, more in Nova Scotia, et al ? If so, when and on what ship so I can check out your video ! We're finally going on our first NE cruise this October to celebrate my husband's birthday. Out of NYC or Brookland. We will for sure double check thanks to one of your first video's I watched 🙂 which had I been in your shoes, I'd have needed a triple martini once I was on-board having stressed out. Cheers to you !!! PS - as to Gary/Jack liking Celebrity's food over Princess and perhaps others, I tend to agree. Their MDR dinners are really great - almost like other cruise lines Specialty restaurants such that we never dine in them when on Celebrity. And of course Luminae is outstanding. Tim my husband and I haven't cruised on Celebrity's Edge-Class ships yet, but their concept of 4 different themed MDR's was a creative concept !!! Ciao for now !
