@ basically the string held firmly, the trigger mechanism broke. But in general it has weak internals and I am also worried with every prime :)

I’m not one to call anyone a liar when it comes to feats of foam flinging badassery, I have had a few things happen that would make anyone say “how?!?”. Depending on where your friend is located (if it is a US version or nerfed version), the condition of the eaglepoint (used blasters tend to perform a little worse than new) and the darts used, it is entirely possible, and plausible to dodge a dart from 4 meters away. The eaglepoint uses standard elite darts which are known to veer to the left or right within 15 feet of the blaster. If the person was aiming for a headshot, the chance to miss increases. The average human eye can track a dart easily at lower speeds but it becomes exponentially difficult at higher speeds. The initial velocity of the eaglepoint is low enough that it could be tracked and usually after traveling 5-10 feet, it has slowed down enough to definitely be seen and with fast enough reflexes, theoretically, you should be able to dodge it (especially a headshot).

So i liked the Desperado but there were a couple of issues with it that made me not put it on the list. First off, it’s a good blaster with some awesome modabilit but here is where it messed up for me. The point of a double action trigger is for me to pull and it rotates, primes and fires all in one motion. Desperado has a flaw in that design because frequently some of the units will overrotate and fire if you pull too hard on the trigger, the result is that you will skip a dart. Second was the loading system. One on either side of the blaster works for casual play, but in an HVC situation, which is where this blaster should excel rapid reload is not as easy as it could be (see the design of the disruptor for a better option) all of this is to say that for eight dollars you have a really good blaster that anyone should buy, but the way that initial reviews were coming out about it by people who got early hands access to them, you would think that the desperado was the second coming Blaster Christ himself. It’s an OK blaster and it definitely is. One of my recommended buys for anybody but not one of the top 10 in my opinion mainly because I wanted to make room for some other noteworthy blasters that people may not have thought about for other reasons had I removed the mirage or the sprinter the desperado would have been in there

@ that is for the response. Maybe you can’t fire the Desperado too quickly without the chance of it skipping. I do hate a skip of any type. The Disruptor was my first blaster. It’s probably the easiest to load and it never skips.

@@sweetlikechocothai Disruptor wasn't my first, but I will say that it is, imho the ultimate evolution of that particular design (Maverick minus the flip out barrel). By eliminating the flip to the side from the Strong Arm, they made it so much easier to reload on the fly since you can hit all 6 barrels easily without having to rotate anything., Something they *should* have done with N-Series Agility.. but.. c'est la hasbro.

@@SecondHandBlasters I have a Strongarm and a Maverick as well. The Strongarm is similar to the Disruptor but the extra mechanisms can cause the Strongarm to break down easier. Still love the grip on the Maverick. Works great for simple low FPS plinking. Also it’s sonic Green. The Strongarm is sonic Red.

Thank you! I’ve gotten blowback for saying this from the very beginning and I always tell people that it’s not a “bad” blaster just incredibly disappointing because of the standards that dart zone has set itself. That rev trigger was perfect for the maxim, but God awful for the venom.

@@GinxZypher I will have to check out their take on it. I know that the circles i run with, it is very popular. If i was running it as a primary, the rev trigger is fine. As a secondary that is holstered, it is awful for the stealth aspect. That xt 30 issue though is just not cool at all.

Lol. So i sped it to 110%. When i recorded this i was half asleep and could barely function (didn’t have my morning energy drink yet). 😂 110% was fast enough to not make me sound like I was asleep.

Yeah it was hard to not include Desperado in there because it is one of the funner releases of 2024. I picked one up later than other reviewers and was okay with it. It’s a fine choice for basement play and has some mod potential for HvZ but the one i purchased had a glaring issue where pulling too hard on the trigger would cause the cylinder to skip a dart. And as much as some people were gushing over the double action and how amazing it was a blaster could do that, I couldn’t help but help but point out that Nerf did that concept years ago. Still does not take away from it being a fantastic blaster. I just couldn’t take the spot away from Blastercorn. That goofy blaster does nothing but bring a smile to my face when i see it.
