If only they would have let them loose for a good 3 mins would have been ground breaking.

I know people are entitled to their own opinions but to say "Natalie Cole couldn't sing" is not an opinion...it is a Bald-Faced LIE. Ya'll talkin' bout the singer who knocked ARETHA FRANKLIN off of her 7 year-straight Grammy run??? THAT Natalie Cole??? She couldn't Sing?!! Proves people don't understand what "singing" really is. ANY singer knows Natalie Cole was one of the best "singers" out here. Now if you didn't dig her style say THAT. If you didn't dig her voice, say THAT. But don't EVER say she couldn't "sing". She still had the SAME range and sound 40 years after her first single so clearly she knew how to use her voice properly...that's what "singing" is. Using your voice to produce melodic tones. Know what you're saying before you say it.

Who said she couldn’t sing? I’ll fight anyone that comes for Nat.😂 Natalie had a powerful voice, but a totally different style from the other great divas. She was more pop than soul. And once she started singing jazz/big band… no one could touch her! That Unforgettable tour was… well, unforgettable. Miss Natalie so much!

@@DianneReevesFan My favorite eras of her are her first album and the Unforgettable era. You're so right. When she finally went jazz/big band she became even HUGER. Natalie Cole had TONS of soul and she poured it into every genre she sang. That run she did here on "I belong to you" was straight CHURCH!!! People on here talkin' bout she could only "carry a tune"...You know that ain't no singer talking like that...🤣

Have you even listened to any recent artist😂 doubt it
@TortoiseJames9 ай бұрын
These new artists have a lot of the technical stuff down but they don't have what our pioneering artists had. Our pioneering artists don't even need MUSIC behind them to sing. They don't need a thousand things going on on stage, they don't need over-produced tracks...They can just flat-foot SING without any help. These kids now will cancel a show if the tracks won't play or the dancers don't show up because they haven't been trained the same way and they cannot entertain without all that fluff. It's cool for what it's worth and it's what the times have changed to accept as "talent" but I wish we were still raising up at least one or two "flat-footers" to carry on for the SINGER'S singers like these three here are.

I heard everybody perfectly. The harmony is tight on my end. Patti Labelle just has a big voice. That's how she sings. Her, Tina Turner, Janis Joplin...big voice singers like that...Why would we expect their voice to NOT be loud?
