On my scooters I don't even care if regen saves battery, im more in it for saving my brake pads. I dont usually have to squeeze down hard enough to engage the pads til under 10 mph.

THE BAD NEWS: We are all sinners and deserve death. Romans 6:23 says, ''For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord." Sin means disobeying God's law and destroying God's creation. All humans are sinners and deserve death. Paul, one of the earliest Christian writers, says nobody is really a good person. In Romans 3:10 he says, ‘’As it is written there is no one righteous, not even one." We all sin. 1 John 1:8 says, ''if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." Since we are all sinners, we deserve hell and deserve death. This is bad news. But… THE GOOD NEWS: Jesus (God) died for yours sins and was raised three days later, and only through Jesus can you be saved because you cannot save yourself. Ephesians 2:8 says ''For by grace you have been saved through faith and it is not your own doing. It is the gift of God." Only Jesus can save you. You can't save yourself. When you truly believe in Jesus, God will change your heart and you will want to obey God and love God and put God first in your life and do good works like loving others and producing good fruits Galatians 5 22-23 '' But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.'' but keep in mind these happen not in order to be saved but cause your heart has changed by the grace of God, and because you love God. (Don't confuse this with works-based salvation. You can't save yourself). In order for us to accept God's gift of salvation we have to believe in it. This is not a causal belief, but one from the heart-- the core of who we are. It has to be so strong that it changes and influences our behavior by making us hate our sin and turn away from it. Christians call this process of hating our sin "repentance." The holy spirit leads us to repentance Ezekiel 36:26 says, ‘’I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." You can be forgiven of your sins because of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:7 says, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace." JESUS LOVES YOU ALL

6yrs later, the app has finally been removed from the app store. I have the smaller Blink S board. Weirdly, although the remotes look the same, there is a toggle switch on the Blink S remote in the battery compartment to change modes. Thank goodness. I cannot control the head/tail lights anymore though. I may see if there is a way to install the app another way. I liked having the odometer to know how far i’ve ridden the board in total. The battery had become marginal so i’m going to rebuild the pack using the original strip BMS, and spot-weld 10 new Samsung cells onto it. The BMS looks fairly simple so i’m optimistic that it will function with the new cells. I’ll know soon.

I dont know if this is a dumb idea but what if you placed the ESC and Battery pack in a drop leg pouch and attach it to the motor with a quick release connector of some sort

Nice vid. Sadly those containers for esc and battery won’t last long at all, putting those expensive parts at risk. Pelican style cases work much better

I know I did a similar tests where I walked uphill three times and then rode my electric skateboard down while braking. And I gained two bars by doing so. It is good to know that you could charge your electric skateboard without an outside source if you absolutely had to. 😎

The percentages you state are not calculated correctly. You've calculated the percentages based on the overall voltage of the battery, when it should have been based on the 0-100% voltage range of the battery. Example - 10S pack would be 42v @ 100% and 36v @ 0%, meaning the percentage of charge/discharge should be calculated by dividing the voltage change by the 6V range of the pack... You also need to account for the discharge curve of the lipo pack as the majority of the capacity (80-90%) sits between 3.8v and 4.0v per cell on a lipo. This means that if you charge from 39v (3.9v/cell) to 40V (4.0v/cell), you've charged 40%-45% of the pack - but charging from 40V (4.0v/cell) to 42v (4.2v/cell) only means you've added around 10% to the capacity. If we work off of 80% of the capacity of the pack between 3.8 and 4.0v and calculate the charge increase of 0.032v, the math would be *(Voltage Change within 80% band/voltage band size) x 80%).* So in this case: *(0.032v/(40-38v range))x(80/100)) = 0.0128* or *1.28%*

Honestly found this out of curiosity as to whether e-boards had braking of any sort(figured regen braking was likely). Even just for the ability to brake it seems nice for long and/or steep hills...I'm thinking the likes that some insane kids go down on regular longboards with little to no protection risking possibly their life or at least horrible road rash and broken bones.
