This song is about Linda Ronstadt. “She wasn’t much good at saying goodbye, but that girl could sing”.
btw: Linda Ronstadt. ohm'gosh. what a talent. what a hottie, frankly.

My neighbors beautiful and gregarious Daughter had been telling me about this new fantastic singing piano player, writes all his own stuff and sing things she's never heard before.... from 2016 And he's cute-Handsome-Cute !!!!! Next weekend, the backyard picnic and she REQUIRED me to break away from my DJ program and play her new Dream Boy, "I'm gonna love him !!" She started with this from JB and swooned and danced to it. My wife and I smiled and chuckled - my wife went and danced with her. Song finished and my wife brought her to me. Showed her the 2016 was a publishment re-release of Jackson Browne - good looking singer, performer, but actually born in the 50's - he's like age 70+ now..., The look on her face..., You'd thought I had just shot her dog. I had been thinking to rough-her-up with some fun, but saw she'd been so love-struck all week. Not the first girl JB had tagged

Sounds more like traditional Van Halen than anything "Van Halen" made after Dave left. And I'm talking this whole album and Dave's first one. Save for Eddie's guitar work very little if any Van Hagar's music is worth listening to.Most of it was a bunch of disjointed, thrown together pop trash.

If he ever toured with Joe Jackson, they could call it the 2 Jacksons tour. I would sometimes confuse their songs.

Such a talented handsome man. I love everything Jackson has ever done. I don't think he ever released a song until it was perfect even if it took a while.

agreed. I love Joe Walsh for the same reason. Both David Lindley and Joe Walsh typically solo no faster than a person can sing. Both use melody and phrasing like skilled singers. thrashing is a skill, sure, but not at all the pure mark of a guitar virtuoso. thanks for your comment, KitKat. - Jim

If this song was written about Valerie Carter (a great singer and backup singer for many bands years ago, but at times, hard to stay and be in contact with), a close friend had said that she was very humble and shy and that she didn't like the spotlight on her. Her close friend had also explained that she was, instead, the type of person to be at a piano singing next to a friend.
