Removing the eagle artillery is stupid and unnecessary. I simply do not understand why will they remove one of the coolest and most iconis defence.

I wonder how many people will actually take the plunge to move from TH16 to TH17 given that the eagle is being removed with something that generally doesn’t do as much damage.

They should’ve merged the mortar with the town hall, not the eagle

The way I see it, every even numbered TH is meant to be a short transitionary level, while the odd numbered THs are more monumental. Think about it: TH7 gets the king, dark elixir and dark troops. TH9 gets the queen and 4 xbows. TH11 gets the warden and eagle. TH13 gets the champion and scattershots. Plus some defenses get 2 upgrades (like the xbow). TH15 gets the monolith and spell towers. Meanwhile... TH6 gets air sweepers. TH8 gets bomb towers. TH10 gets inferno towers, and you can have siege machines in your clan castle. TH12 gets siege machines and 15 hero levels each. TH14 gets pets and upgradable builder huts. TH16 gets 2 TH defense levels, merged cannons/archer towers and overcharge. Plus, TH14 and 16 only have 5 hero levels each, while TH13 and 15 have 10. TH12 is the outlier with 15 levels. Also I intentionally left out unlocks like the clan capital, builder base and wars, as those were added later to boost the even TH levels' significance. But even with those included, I still lingered on the odd levels longer. TH11 took me several months to get through, and so did TH13. But 12 and 14 took a couple months (14 didn't even take 2 months). I'm now at 15 and it's taking me a while, though the hammer jam helps.

I've collect nearly all of the special obstacles for years, 3 ofost 2 of a couple, used alot of shovels to put them on the edge but during updates the obstacles lost the shovel amd can't be moved or stashed, and there's way to many for me to get the shovels again
