There will be more videos to shortly from the thousands of images I captured, including sightings of the BIG 5. I have to disagree about the weight comment. It really does make a difference and you can get small, light mirrorless that perform as good as the 90d which if you don’t use long zooms then lens weight and size isn’t an issue. That’s exactly where mirrorless shines in my opinion. A 90d is not the ideal street photography camera
@AndyHPhotography
@AndyHPhotography Ай бұрын
@@traceybartlam7737 that’s a good point Tracey. I now have a R7 and do notice the weight difference when using smaller lenses like the 50mm although the weight difference when using telephoto lenses is negligible. So for street photography I agree with your point about the weight and also the more compact nature makes mirrorless easier to use in those scenarios 👍

@@AndyHPhotography I no longer have one! The situation was that I got a used x-t30 as a street/walk around and loved it so much I traded my Canon gear for an x-t4. Brilliant camera and I actually improved as a photographer using it however I miss the ergonomics of Canon. I picked up my daughter’s 90d and it just feels so good! I also really liked the colours on the photos I took. I’m very tempted to go back to one as found a used one with only approx 1000 shutter count but really having a dilemma about going back from mirrorless as I’ve got used to seeing a live exposure. I know the 90d has live view via the screen but as a glasses wearer I use the viewfinder much, much more. The general consensus is I should go for the R7 but so conflicted due to rf mount and lack of affordable lenses. (I know I could buy a converter but unsure of which work well with the r7). I have been given an old film canon and a 60mm macro (has a tiny bit of lens fungus which camera store believe is really not a major issue) so my other alternative is to buy an old canon dslr and use that on occasion 🤷‍♀️ I’m going round in circles to be honest!

I used both just like you and I agree that telephoto gives you much more freedom in composition. I also liked your video on 50 mm 1.8 as I'm thinking of buying it soon. Is it true that at F 5.6 it has 10 times more light than kit lens at same aperture?
@AndyHPhotography

@@petarjurakic1818 thanks for your feedback. I’m finding I’m using my telephoto a lot more than my macro lens (check out my nature reserve video if you get a chance as that was completely done with the telephoto). Looking at your first image the colours are fantastic as are the detail. I don't think you will regret getting the R7 at all. It is giving me food for thought, as I am looking to move from my 77D to mirrorless next year. Initially was looking at the R10 but realised that it's not much different from the 77D except the mirrorless aspect. Not enough to make a huge difference.
