Hey there! None of our balancers come standard with our 525 wheel lift, but they do make a great optional addition especially if you're working on heavy assemblies.

Hey there! We recommend not to lift without adaptors due to the nature of the electrical wires that are run throughout the vehicle and the battery placement.

We are using a Rim Clamp tire changer in this video which has protective inserts on the clamps, but we have a video coming out soon about how to change these tires on a center post tire changer. The Grip Max 2.0 Clamps, when used properly, touch the wheel but won't damage it, so no flange plate is needed. A center clamp of course would not touch the wheel at all.

I love the center-post machines and personally use them for my BMW and Lexus wheels.

The actual process of changing a tire is the same. Carbon Wheels are in danger of very FINE scratch marks from dirt and debris. A regular clear wheel as you say can easily be re-cleared or even buffed if fine scratches appear. Carbon fiber wheels would need to be replaced, as no repairs are possible. To your point, doing everything right ALL THE TIME will prevent damage to any wheel. Even carbon fiber ones.

@rickgrimsley2403 The reason that you don't clamp from the inside is because the wheel is conical-shaped on the inside so when you grab it from the barrel of the wheel you can't clamp it tightly.

Hi there! So there could be a couple reasons for chasing weight, but the biggest is improper weight placement or a damaged rim. Placing a weight on both the inboard and outboard parallel to each other would create a lot of static forces in the assembly so its not recommended. When you're balancing a tire, look at the center window, and it will show you how much static is left. Then you can hang the weight where it's required. Hi Robert! This demo was created to show you basic functionality and features of our Maxx line so it was limited due to time to only one or two assemblies. With the dual inflation nozzle and optional auxiliary bead sealer, the Maxx series can seat any tire bead that comes into your shop.

Hi Robert! Yes some of our tire changer models do use disc arms to help with bead dismount especially with delicate assemblies such as carbon fiber rims on our APS 3000. Our Maxx series is equipped to handle a wide range of tires and wheels using other helper arms like our robo roller and robo helper arm. The TPMS sensor should be positioned at the 12 o'clock position when starting to loosen the bead. Look at 9:59 in the video.

Hi there! Before beginning the dismount process, make sure the TPMS sensor is behind the duckhead. Do the same before you dismount the bottom bead. Then, when mounting the bottom bead of the new tire, position the tire on the wheel with the TPMS sensor located at the traction point or 7 o’ clock. Then, rotate the tabletop and mount the bottom bead. Hope this helps!

What a stupid answer.

Absolutely blown away how the head self clearances itself off the lip virtually removing the possibility of chipping the hard but delicate clear coat these rims have! At $5000.00 A set for my rims I can only imagine these rims at minimum $20,000+ a set. Any shop would be fools to not buy your machine and avoid the liability while keeping their customers happy!
