Our old band played support for Bowerbirds in a small venue in Auntie Annies, Belfast, Northern Ireland back in 07/08 when Phil, Beth and Mark were touring the Hymns record. Beautiful people, with charming and infectious music. It was my second favourite gig, just behind supporting Shearwater. Jonathan and then drummer/percussionist Thor Harris sat with us, had a drink and shared stories. It is probably the biggest thing I miss about playing music, sharing a secret life and a second language with other like-minded individuals. 🤍

I've listened to this dude's music tons of times. I don't understand how he's not more famous. Look, I don't get it. He's terrific. Guitar tabs doesn't have a version of this song so I'm going to be forced to sit down with pen and paper to learn it.

i first found bowerbirds around three years ago. at the time i was experiencing the worst year of my life, and i wasn't entirely convinced i was going to see it through the end. i'm happy to say that i'm still here now, and your music is part of the reason that i am.

I found him during a hard time 3 years ago in 2020. Coincidence, but like so many of his lyrics suggest; All things are in sync together. All love

Tell me, tell me darling Is it just a phase somehow? Or will I never know your warmth again On the dark side now Always chasing something Never meant to get in your way But even when the fog from the fighting lifts I'll be yours to blame Even when the fog from the fighting lifts I'll be yours to blame Who was winning Was that in the vows Taking the tally the whole way down But even when the strike from the gavel sounds I'll be yours to blame Tell me, tell me darling Is it just a phase somehow? Or will I never know your warmth again On the dark side now Will I never know your warmth again On the dark side now

Be like this, totally unfamous, I don't care. Though my general humanity weeps at the sight of art like this never being recognized for what it is, Each time this band comes up with music that strikes right through the heart, despite, It makes me feel so warm. To revel in the thought that some souls just can't help but make good music, despite! Makes me want to write more, Not to share, But to fold it right down the middle and sneak it among my most private poetry bundles.

Wtf aren't you famous man? Is humanity so devoid of appreciation for true art?
