It was mainly the scalpers this time because there was a manual exploit to get to the checkout and skip the line. Honestly I think print to demand is the best way to do it, gives them incentive to make a better product and levels out the secondary at the same time. And they’re still collectible because there will only be that set amount they print to order.

I’m okay with The One Ring being restricted or Banned. I have always thought Phlage or Ocelot Pride would be on the chopping block for Boros before Guide of Souls. I’m Enjoying the game right now after a 6-7 year break, but I’m hopeful to see what happens on the next lists. 😄

@@tri-cardgames i still love modern as well. took a 3 year break and came back. usually play mono green tron and the only upgrade i would need is 3-4 rings and maybe sowing mycospawn/kozileks command. with so many potential banworthy cards, i'm waiting on a ban announcement before upgrading. commander with the bros til then

@@briang3101 Mad respect for playing Tron. If you haven’t looked into the through the breach deck that runs the Mycospawn? Might be worth looking into because it can absolutely peel people with the new Ulamog or Emrakul.

@@tri-cardgames i've played some breach against other top meta decks on xmage. the new eldrazi are pretty sick but ugin the spirit dragon and ulamog the ceaseless hunger on t4-5 still ends most games, regardless. using the one ring is protection from boros aggro and tron, ime plays well against control, simply for how good it is at playing off the top of the deck. not to mention veil of summer, ensnaring bridge, chalice and trinisphere shuts down alot of counter play while buying enough time to play through bloodmoon. the only deck that just blows me out more often than not is ruby storm. but only if i didn't add a few weather the storms in the sideboard

Pauper is a good choice! It can be daunting to get into any of the Big 3 card games, personally if you’re looking to play with groups of people, EDH (Commander) is one of the most popular casual formats with some pre-constructed decks being as low as $30-40 dollars. cEDH (Competitive Commander) and Modern are arguably the most expensive formats to play competitively because you have several cards you run that are anywhere between $25+ and several hundred dollars. As for other constructed formats, standard is by far the cheapest to be competitive at the moment. You can get a competitive deck in standard (R/G Prowess Aggro) for about $120-150 depending on how you want to build it. I would not recommend modern or cEDH to people just picking up the game because they’re probably the most expensive formats to play competitively.

Yea it’s a blessing we don’t have the bug, but a curse because we have the Mulcharmy cards.

Sadly you can’t target Sharvara because it’s a Fire attribute, But I like the way you think. 😉🤣

Not with this particular line, but I don’t run Desirae because it eats up a lot of resources on field, I like being able to play through DRNM and Evenly but I’ve learned to kinda adapt without the use of Desirae. 🙂

In what regards? If you’re talking about the second normal you get that from beckoning beast and you get the special from grave from opening of the spirit gates. 🙂

I think certain parts of the engine will get hit but with the already new wave of support announced for Fiendsmith I think it’ll be next year before we see that engine hit.

When I get my new computer this week or next I’ll do a bunch of combo lines including this one again. 🙂 it’s hard to fit the full combo in there with only 60 second haha.

Because you need a way to get 2 monsters on the board so you can access the Fiendsmith line using moon of the closed heaven. 😄

And cause if you only start with oppening, dark beconning can't tuto dark beconning, we need chaos for extend for fiendsmith

Then it is a literal brick, like at this point play 2 beckonning beast since you can do the combo with 2 and also use the other if you open up fiendsmith lines, for spirit gates summon or just discard fodder. Chaos is a bad card and should never be ran in this deck

​@@Ghosty_33_971even then its still not worth it. And the chances of openning spirit gates as your only playable card is less then 1% like its .001% chance if even that. Unless you play so many bad cards in your build then it only goes up

@@globenboopen9425 I’m just speaking from my personal experience with the deck. Chaos Summoning Beast (To me) is a must in the deck for the fact that if you open just opening you can’t get to 2 monsters on the field and go full Yubel FS combo. This is because you can’t search beckoning beast with beckoning beast. And plus not only do I run the Chaos Summoning Beast, but a vast majority of winning lists run the card because it turns Opening of the Spirit Gates into a 1 Card Starter. The deck does run a lot of what I consider “Soft Bricks” but if you see chaos summoning and a Yubel Monster then you can make a Phantom before you even start playing your lines. But that’s just how I like to play the deck because it has brought me great results. 🙂

With Beckoning Beast now being a 1 Card Combo I’ve had a hard time cutting it down. But I have been tinkering behind the scenes since I posted this, Yubel is now at 1 in my list and I’m honestly debating on making more room for engine by bumping up the card count.

@@tri-cardgames I might go back to beck at 2. But it's literally an imperm and droll response always now. But beckoning I'd easily recyclable due to phantom. But I see soooo many people do yubel lines wrong.

@tri-cardgames deffo. I've had a lot more time with the deck before fiendsmith came out so got a better understanding of it. But got my cards from kongs this morning. So excited to use them at locals today and test my euros build before going to berlin next week.

So my theory I had for the tournament was what I call the 9:9 method which again is 9 ways to handtrap and 9 ways to bust a board. Imperm can be either a boardbreaker or a handtrap so I could it as 3 of each. With the other 12 slots I had left for the deck I split it 6:6 6 handtraps (Ash and Droll) and 6 Board breakers (Droplet and Talents). Hence how I get the 9:9 ratio. Me doing this also makes it easy to side post game 1. Hope this explains it a bit better. 😄

@@DracoLaDraco Oh my bad chief. Board breakers are the better going second cards like dark ruler no more, Evenly Matched, Forbidden Droplets, Super Polys, Etc. pretty much cards that can help you play into boards going 2nd.

@@DracoLaDraco I consider Imperm both because you can use it as an end piece going first or going second you can use it to begin to get rid of negates and opponents interaction on your turn.

Almiraj is used in scenarios where you start with Spirit of Yubel and Opening of the Spirit Gates, Add Dark Beckoning Beast and Beckoning beast gets impermed or veilered you’re able to get a 0/0 into the grave by linking off DBB into an almiraj. Now Opening is live so you can pitch Spirit of Yubel for cost, then special it off of the same effect giving you access to your Yubel engine! 😄 Edit: it also gives you access to S:P banish going second if you’re trying your bait out interactions.

@@Neopumper666 absolutely! TCG Player is probably the best place to find cards you’re looking for if you’re wanting to build a deck. I usually don’t recommend buying packs unless you’re trying to build your trade binder up or there’s a set that has a lot of cards you’re interested in playing. Hope this helps! 😄

You are correct! I couldn’t have normaled there, the deck does so much it can be difficult sometimes to keep track of all the triggers and summons you do in a turn. I’ve been getting better at this as of recent where I have been doing more competitive play! Good catch! 😄

I think the secrets will tank, but the ulti will probably go to the moon now that it’s the new max rarity for it. I’d definitely be on the watch in the next few weeks on the price fluctuations of these Ultis.

Talents can cook Snake eyes so hard. It came up during a couple of my matches throughout the day. And when it did come up I ended up winning the games I played talents. Fenrir is just a great check for all kinds of decks right now. I wanna side Skill drain over D barrier now. Should work a little better!

Personally I think the best way to play VV is Pure. I think the reasoning Aaron had the idea of instant fusion is because it can insulate your plays for the hand trap you’re more worried about based on the hand you have. And with people running 15+ hand traps in the main you can get the protection from Millennium Eyes for generic Monster hand traps or Mudragon for targeting protection.

He also mentioned if he wasn’t running it he probably wouldn’t have made it to top cut. 😂

I’ve done something similar recently with that and have had some amazing results with the deck! I moved super poly to the side and main deck another hand trap. Comes up way more often when I need it!

@@tri-cardgames yea I noticed more handtraps plus nibiru in the main makes it play pretty amazing, especially if they make a big nibiru token, you can just crash Yubels into for game. Probably my favorite deck to play rn forsure!

Currently playing a 50 card yubel build with a large unchained engine and it is my absolute favorite deck right now. GX just holds a special place in my heart. My first born son is named Jaden for my favorite character😅
