Yes, home resets is the term for using the home button to get to the home menu and close and reopen the game. The name serves to distinguish this method from traditional soft resetting as they are comparably different, mainly by home resets being around 20s slower than soft resets in older games.

@@serenitynow85 Very fair, I’ve come to find that most people’s distaste with the Switch era games’ visual styles will make them not even want to try them. I totally agree with that sentiment. If you don’t think it’s for you, it’s not haha. And yeah, shiny hunting is quite simple on the switch, the only downside is the long loading times lol

Thankfully the intense grind paid off almost immediately. I would’ve just kept going as consistently until I burned out or got it.

@@christheshinyhunter even after hunting a year, the best I managed was only 250 eggs on one FRLG, on a weekend day. You were hitting closer to 360 a day per game, that’s some impressive focus.

Runaways are a fun way to hunt and due to Emeralds broken RNG we get to enjoy an alternate method than the regular Soft Resets we're all used to 😂

My fastest was 21 for a Solosis in White, but that was after a 56,500 phase on Minccino. About lost my crap in excitement since 15 minutes before that I was so angry with the Minccino after such a long drought
