They have to be the worst plant to use for kids ! The kid will be 10 before the plant grows an inch! Carrots then she can eat them !

Can you tell me how many LUX or Foot-candles of light reaches the tops of your lithops? I have some very intense grow lights that are great for echeveria but have burned crassula so I have to move them closer or further away depending on the plant.

This is one of the best lithops potting videos. I’ve watched it so many times! I have most of the soil info, but the DE. Is that granular? I have never seen it like that. Are you using it to absorb moisture? Thank you so much for this video!

Where do you buy your lithops? I'm looking for unique varieties. The link you provided only had 2 options. I love your dedication to your lithops, and I love how you get your daughter involved. I think if we can instill empathy and caring in our children for plants, then hopefully, that will translate to empathy and caring for people.

They are all so pretty :) funny how we are all attracted to different colours :) I absolutely loving the Echeverias that turn into those light pastel pinks and peachy colours ^^ the variegated ones also. I have bought several variety seeds to try and grow them from seeds.

I find it hard to understand how you water those all in that container. I have lithops and I know when they start to split, you can't water them, but you have some that have not split and may need water. How do you water a pot with lithops that are mixed and have some that are splitting and must have no water, and some that do.
@nicholat5319 Жыл бұрын
I use a dropper type bottle so that I can direct the water to the ones that need it. They only need a bit
@roy-tt9cm Жыл бұрын
@@nicholat5319 aah ok. I find it impossible to do. I have taken all mine out of a mixed container and planted them in same species groups
@nicholat5319 Жыл бұрын
@@roy-tt9cm Yes that is the best way. When mine are bigger I plan to do that.

Ma Pani ładne te litopsy, naprawdę. Widziałem je u innych i były brzydkie. Wyglądały jak mózgi albo jak - przepraszam za porównanie - pomarszczone jaja. A te są ładne. Aż sam myślę, czy nie kupić.

That's just how I watered my African Violets, which I grew in Vermiculite. And now it's how I water my Orchid. (I could tell when the Violets needed to be watered because they weighed almost nothing. I can tell when my Orchid needs water because it's in a clear plastic pot and the roots turn from green to (almost) gray.) Houseplants in dirt I overwater and kill.
