Do you know Bobby Schwartz I am 65 years old and because of you when I was 40 I started messing around with speedway but I can come another race broke my neck in Victorville and that kind of engine my career but anyway because a Human Ridge I tried it it was fun but it takes a lot of skill man you guys are special. I worked MEDICAL on these races; My heart raced, until they reached the 2d lap, and then it was a good race; when it reached 1:40 on this race, it would be a bad night. Great fun and cool bunch of riders to work with. Talked with Jim "The Animal" Fishback a lot, when he quit racing and became a track official.

Those of you who are complaining about this track have no idea what you are talking about and about the history of this place. Costa Mesa Speedway is the center of the universe for speedway racing in the United States. Back in the '70's, this place was hopping every weekend. There were also other tracks in SoCal so there was racing 3 or 4 nights a week. And the top riders did go to Europe and do very well. That is hallowed ground there.

A worthy World Champion. He raced Down Under too and always gave 100%. Didn’t matter where it was, the crowds loved him. A real genuine bloke.

Every one did great in not dumping. Did they get 20 practice laps? If not, they did all the better. Good show!

Roland Sands probably could have stayed in the pits winning by attrition. The big winners were the local HD dealerships selling new parts for bent hogs. The audience finally got bored after 15 red flagged laps and re-starts and clamored for the geek show with the chickens. We should also point out that the audience got a little testy whilst the track was being prepped for speedway.

America butchers any world sport they try their hands at. Have a look at England and Poland speedway for real action and sportsmanship.

Waaay too many people in the pits that have no business there. The announcer is a screamer.

AMA Flat Track is better, longer, faster more brands more names. This a very small niche of racing. It’s OK to check in once in while but just not my thing like Outdoor Motocross.

Strange. American, u may think it is such a modern country etc but speedway track is so dangerous... No airbags on corners, cushions, low walls short track with no speed on straight...

Congratulations to everyone making speedway happen in America . At the same time now I understand why Greg Hancock went to the UK. America has a very long ways to go if they are going to compete in the class of riders for a world title. I hate to say it but I don't think they could even qualify for a ride in a GP .
