22:08 This is the Ending theme which is considered as an Unused Tune (I think) I have a ROM that uses this for the ending. Awesomely sounds like an 8bit Thunder Force game. 23:36 Another Ending Theme which I haven't heard while beating the game, sounds really happy-like. I guess either tunes play when you beat the game under certain conditions?

The Mega Drive once again prevails! Such an awesome sound hardware for its time and price. With basically two built-in synthesizers, one FM and one PSG, + the DAC that can provide some PCM samples, it's just so genuine and hard to beat. That GBA version is rather funny. It' so... inconsistent! Beginning @2:06 is nice but second part @2:19 is meh and then when the track is supposed to take off for real @2:32 it actually falls flat on the floor. And the 3DS version might be more consistent but it's overly done and fake-ish at the same time, those whiney leads are just not convincing at all.

This video is like an evolution of video game music during the 90s, from early FM-based sound chips to CD audio of increasingly newer synthesizers

I feel like this game boy is pure art, it was made for the gameboy, its something that its exclusive to it in a way because it just used the limits so God damn perfectly, the soundtrack is just designed for this handheld and uses to its exact limit, I'm blown away that it exist.

Man. For a game I never played, this theme specifically takes me back to discovering it serendipitously before KZbin. I don't know if the site is still up in some reintroduced form, but this site called videogame music at the time had a plethora of known and even obscure entries originally midi-rearranged by its supporters. This song was the only from this game I saw on there. Never having heard or seen it I was searching music for the PCE (that version not on this vid, but eh well) and this games title came up with Megumi's theme being the only one with an entry (actually 2). IT GETS EVEN MORE UNIQUE. That site had supporters doing midi entries of whatever games they could possibly find music on. Even if it was multiple ports. But if their heart was really into whatever theme they're covering apparently they'll even go as far as to doing multiple rearranged entries even for a single theme across multiple ports. Many years - maybe 4 or 5 later, I find out what this game actually is on the old Tube (okay so KZbin is actually the new tube--whatever). At that time only videos of in-game footage were around. But things advanced. I remember thinking back when YT was new, "Well I found some obscure J-Metal and J-Pop on here so maybe...." And the rest is history.
