You should put where you get rare unique organic and inorganic crafting materials from in mod description. I dont use discord and hate youtube but only way to ask you to put where you find the stuff in mod description.

Dont buy this released in parts paid mod. Auther still has not released 2nd part to his first mod. Should be required to finish one before releasing a second.

We have multiple teams working on different projects (since it's hard for more than one person to work on the file at a time). Starsim has received a lot of work, and we'll soon be pushing a big update for it.

@@XylaFox then wait until it's finished before releasing it. Once you start taking peoples money, you can no longer treat it like a hobby. People are then paying for a product, and it's never okay to pay for an unfinished product. Why is it so hard to wait until the mod is finished to release it, or how about your team not work on multiple things at once and finish one mod before working on another. Are you so hard up on money you need to scam people out of there's?

@@captaincaptain2128 Thank you for your input above. We have 25 developers in our studio. It is currently impossible to have everyone working on the same project due to limitations in the Creation Kit (only one team member can work in the file at any given time). We have two parallel projects in development at all times to make it easier to split the team until such time as version control is added to the CK to work in parallel. Which project are you mentioning is unfinished? We discussed very early that, for the scale of StarSim (a multi-year project), we are building it in modules to focus on the individual components of the simulation. This allows the community to fine tune how features like mining, salvage, station management, combat, etc. flows. Mining Conglomerate already has good value at $5 as is, and will always be $5 (price is locked in at launch) even as we add more mining features and a voiced storyline over time from community input.

@@Vaernus that's your fault for releasing it unfinished. If you were still working on it before releasing it as a single esp, you could have had multiple people working on different aspects of the mod, such as one guy working on the quests, another adding new gameplay, and another adding new assets. Then, you'd only have to load those esps simultaneously then save them as a singular esp. I do it all the time with my larger mods to work on different features separately. Secondly, you've got 25 developers in your studio? No, you have 25 volunteer modders in your modding group. No way you could afford a studio and pay 25 developers a wage on that measly 5 bucks. Lastly, if you know the mod isn't finished, why do you insist on releasing it anyways. Why are you incapable of merely waiting until the full mining module is completed before releasing it. It's shady, scummy, and greedy, further highlighting the problem with paid mods. Paid mods only attract modders who are in it for the money. It's modders like you that are making the rest of us look bad.

@@captaincaptain2128 I appreciate the response, but there's some factual errors here about the current state of Starfield modding and the Verified Creator program. There is no mechanism currently to merge esp files via the Starfield Creation Kit. You can only work from a single esp and pass it around until such time as a version control mechanism is created by Bethesda. That may be a possibility for you in Skyrim or Fallout 4 (both have actual version control functions inside the Creation Kit and 3rd party merging tools) and as a non Verified Creator in Starfield, but we are contractually obligated by the Verified Creator program to work within the Creation Kit. But with your experience building larger mods as you mention above, if you have a method that we as a Verified Creator can use within the Starfield Creation Kit to allow our team to merge esp and work in parallel on a single project, we'd be delighted to use it. Yes we do. We've been a studio since 2018, and only recently shifted to building content for Starfield as of April. We'd love for you to try out our game Emberlight which is now free to play on Steam. Some of our core team members were also part of the team for War for the Overworld. We are currently paying our team. Because we decided to do so from both community input and internally to the team, that's why. Just as simple as that. You may disagree, but we find that launching this with core functionality and adding more over time is not scummy or greedy and is pretty standard in other parts of game development. This provides a way for the community to get changes into something before its locked in. We're not going backwards on a "complete" mining module at a fundamental level if someone wants changes at release, but we can incorporate changes (which we have btw) at an early stage. Mining Conglomerate is one of the highest rated launches so far in the program with nearly 1.4 million plays to date as we focused heavily on what would justify a $5 launch both now and when all features are added. And reviews so far tend to agree that we're not far off on the content amount even now, and absolutely a steal when everything is added over the rest of the year.

They are pretty expensive as they require the special ore resource to craft which is rather rare.

@@briandegregorio1638 What benefit am I expecting? Mass effect 1 infinite ammo on a cooldown... It's the only reason why I didn't buy modular arsenal because free mod are allowing me to do this right now but what would set yours apart from the rest is being able to unlock other ammo types and put them in other weapons u like... For instance.... u have all these other ammo types but not the cutter?... Now when I can put the cutters ammo on a laser rifle and change it's ammo type to: 1. Cutter - mines inorganic resources 2.Portable battery - uses the cutters ammo pool 3. It fires the cutters laser beam but does particle & Em damage 4. I can put 3 legendary effects on & 5 still use your ammo changing types now we're talking. Edit: if u need an idea of what I'm talking about a new mod just dropped called omegatech particle rifle This would be what your mod allows us players to do instead of waiting and hoping for someone to hopefully eventually mod the weapon in... Your letting us take a weapon like the kodama and put the cutters ammo on it for infinite firepower on a cooldown but also allowing us to have poison bullets or concussion etcetera etcetera...

@@Ed-ealmighty We skipped the laser rifles as lore wise there was no way to justify elemental effects other than burning/radioactive which the game already does. Making a rechargeable beam weapon like a cutter as a rifle would be out of the purview of this creation but could be considered if we do a weapon pack.

Good Question. Based on your question, the team said, We will add the elemental ore to MC asteroids sometime after release, but they will be an ultra-rare drop like <10% chance. For now, a rare drop on a boss or the black market is currently the only way to get crystals.

Just as a clarification, because of Starfield's whole new game + feature. When you say it requires a new save. Do you mean an entirely new character, or would hopping to a new universe yield the same effect?

Would drones be possible? If are ship is a mineing vehicle wouldn't make sense for leve and forget mineing drones And would orbital docking stations with shuttle service to the city be possible a lot of bigger class c ship just look weird at the landing pad

Will the mod auto patch or do we have to uninstall/reinstall to get it to work? I have been having issues with mod Defend miners/station, the enemy does not come or 2 of x only come etc. Lot of potential if you can get the rest of the advertised features in place soon. Was a bit early to "sell" the mod but final product should be worth the price paid.

As far as I'm aware there is still an issue with Creation updates so you will likely need to uninstall and reinstall Mining Conglomerate to get the new update.

Can get pretty nuts in larger fleet battles. Taking down fleets and heavily shielded capital ships, like shown above, takes more than simply having omni-directional, self-tracking weapons. Over time, it will require either a bigger M-class ship, or require a fleet of your own.

Bought it, really like it but if the menu for jobs/interaction with the starstation is based on desicion making to do it and not lack of capabilities at this stage than that was a bad idea. I don't know if it's just me but it really breaks the immersion. I want to go in there interact with real mission boards etc. But besides that great add-on, definetely worth the money

Do you mean with regards to going into the station and using a traditional mission board? The decision to build the Station Interface was based on the fact that we are going to add many more stations per orbit as StarSim is built out, and there needs to be a quicker way for you to interact with the station versus having to dock, board, run around finding people, run back to ship, get back to pilot seat, and take off multiple times in the same area. This includes comms with NPCs on the station, technicians, trading, etc. which is currently not activated in the early access version. Only specific stations that require interaction due to storyline will have interiors.

We're all ears on how to pay professional developers without money. Those pesky bills and all. Only real option is to get funding, but whomever we get that from would expect it to be paid back at some point so that doesn't solve anything. If there's some other way we can build free content and compensate the team, we would gladly do it. We will build free content in parallel but when we're able to comfortably pay the team and it won't impede the studio's stability.
