I'm not sure it is, cuz I didn't clear contest, but I got two drops on my first clear of the dungeon on normal mode. not sure if it was a bug or what, but it seems to be happening to enough people to not have been a coincidence.

The detail I'm fascinated by is that the high caliber sniper pierces through the armor of that NPC. I don't know if that's the same for the player since there aren't much sniper enemies that attack you.
