Nice launch. Upgrade to Estes Pro Series II recovery system 24 inch parachute, cut a spill hole to adjust decent and shock cord. Had the same thing happen on a 29mm upgraded Estes Maxi Alpha stock, with plastic parachutes and the corrosive, hot exhaust gases make the rubber shock cords snap after a few launches.

Glad you got the $86 case back. I use a 24ft painting pole $50 to retrieve rockets out of the tree.

Made me very nervous when I realized how high you had launched, with large kite-eating trees all around you. You're lucky to have recovered it! Look for a more open launch field next time!
