Can’t believe this was almost 18 years ago but i didn’t get my Wii til 2007 for my 14th birthday I was 13 in 7th grade when was uploaded in 2006 now im 30 back in the late 2000s and early 2010s the Wii had full online support such as the Wii Shop Channel,News Channel,Weather Channel,KZbin Channel,Netflix and Nintendo Wi-Fi online support for online multiplayer like Mario Kart Wii now in 2024 I can’t even connect the Wii to a WiFi as my router doesn’t support 802.11ac WiFi devices even though the Wii doesn’t have all full online support like it did like 12-15 years ago as Nintendo shut them down after the launch Wii U and 3DS

It's plugged in now. The whole mouse feels.... tighter. I like the more snappy buttons even compared to my NIB original Z I found. Excited to take it into a game and see!

Hey@@AKAstyxx no there isn't but with the built-in gyroscope and tilt gestures you can map those actions to mouse movements.

The whole mouse has tilt, you can use different feet on the mouse and control it's level of tilt.@@AKAstyxx

How did they connect the Wii to the Dell monitor? What Dell CRT has inputs for composite or component video? I know plenty of Dell flat panels from back then with composite and component but not CRTs.

Great question. If I recall correctly, it was running through a Hauppauge TV Tuner and I was displaying the preview window. The audio was running through my JVC receiver. I didn't own a proper TV at the time.

@@sw33tp34 Thanks! My brother also theorized that it was a TV tuner. I did the same with my N64 and an ATI All-In-Wonder 4MB card back in 1997. :)

I got mine launch day and it was defective. It would throw an error on a black screen when you launched a disc or channel. Had to get it swapped out by Nintendo since the stores were all out of stock. Nintendo put “Hot Rush” on it but it didn’t help since it was Thanksgiving and the couriers were not running. At one point that day I got it to launch Wind Waker (GameCube) in Progressive Scan mode and I realized that the component video quality was vastly inferior to GameCube (yes, I had GC and Wii component cables). After launching it a couple times it went right back to black-screen errors. So disappointing!

Just so you know, people have limited time to watch these type of videos. You need to get all your tools and camera stuff set up before you start the video. Less cool talk would be nice and try to be more technical. I'm six minutes into your vid and now I'm off to find a better video on this subject.
